1 Mirjam aber und Aaron redeten wider Mose wegen des äthiopischen Weibes, das er genommen hatte; denn er hatte eine Äthiopierin zum Weibe genommen. 2 Sie sprachen nämlich: Redet denn der HERR allein durch Mose? Redet er nicht auch durch uns? 3 Und der HERR hörte es. Aber Mose war ein sehr sanftmütiger Mann, sanftmütiger als alle Menschen auf Erden. 4 Da sprach der HERR plötzlich zu Mose und zu Aaron und zu Mirjam: Gehet ihr drei zur Stiftshütte hinaus! Da gingen alle drei hinaus. 5 Da kam der HERR in der Wolkensäule herab und trat unter die Tür der Hütte und rief Aaron und Mirjam. 6 Als sie nun beide hinausgingen, sprach er: Höret doch meine Worte: Ist jemand unter euch ein Prophet, dem will ich, der HERR, mich in einem Gesicht offenbaren, oder ich will in einem Traum mit ihm reden. 7 Aber nicht also mein Knecht Mose: er ist treu in meinem ganzen Hause. 8 Mündlich rede ich mit ihm und von Angesicht und nicht rätselhaft, und er schaut die Gestalt des HERRN. Warum habt ihr euch denn nicht gefürchtet, wider meinen Knecht Mose zu reden? 9 Und der Zorn des HERRN entbrannte über sie, und er ging; 10 und die Wolke wich von der Hütte. Und siehe, da war Mirjam aussätzig wie Schnee. Und Aaron wandte sich zu Mirjam, und siehe, sie war aussätzig. 11 Und Aaron sprach zu Mose: Ach, mein HERR, laß die Sünde nicht auf uns liegen, da wir töricht gehandelt und uns versündigt haben; 12 daß doch diese nicht sei wie ein totes Kind, das von seiner Mutter Leibe kommt, und dessen Fleisch schon halb verwest ist! 13 Mose aber schrie zu dem HERRN und sprach: Ach Gott, heile sie! Der HERR sprach zu Mose: 14 Wenn ihr Vater ihr ins Angesicht gespieen hätte, müßte sie sich nicht sieben Tage lang schämen? Laß sie sich sieben Tage lang außerhalb des Lagers einschließen, darnach mag sie wieder aufgenommen werden. 15 Also ward Mirjam sieben Tage lang aus dem Lager ausgeschlossen; und das Volk zog nicht weiter, bis Mirjam wieder aufgenommen ward. 16 Darnach brach das Volk auf von Hazerot und lagerte sich in der Wüste Paran.

he mea whakakite, he kōrero moemoeā ki a ia.

7 Ehara tāku pononga, a Mohi i te pērā;

he pono ia i tōku whare katoa.

8 Ka kōrero ahau ki a ia, he māngai,

he māngai, he kōrero mata nui, kāhore hoki he kupu ngaro;

ā, e kite anō ia i te āhua o Ihowā.

He aha rā kōrua tē wehi ai ki te whakahē

mō tāku pononga, mō Mohi?"

9 Nā, ka mura te riri o Ihowā ki a rāua, ā, haere ana ia.

10 Nā, ka riro atu te kapua i runga i te tapenākara; nā! He repera a Miriama, kua rite ki te hukarere; ā, ka titiro a Ārona ki a Miriama, e! He repera. 11 Nā, ka mea a Ārona ki a Mohi, "Auē, e tōku ariki, kaua e utaina ki a māua tēnei hara i pōauau nei, i hara nei māua. 12 Kei rite ia ki te mea kua mate, ki te mea kua pau tētahi wāhi o ōna kikokiko i te putanga mai i te kōpū o tōna whaea."

13 Nā, ka karanga atu a Mohi ki a Ihowā, ka mea, "E te Atua, tēnā rā, whakaorangia ia."

14 Nā, ka mea a Ihowā, ki a Mohi, "Me i tuwha kau tōna pāpā ki tōna mata e kore ianei ia e whakamā, ā, whitu noa ngā rā? Kia whitu ngā rā e tūtakina atu ai ia ki waho o te puni, ā muri iho ka mauria mai anō." 15 Nā, tūtakina atu ana a Miriama ki waho o te puni, e whitu ngā rā; kīhai anō hoki te iwi i haere, kia whakahokia mai rā anō a Miriama.
