1 And he brought me back unto the door of the house; and, behold, waters issued out from under the threshold of the house eastward (for the forefront of the house was toward the east); and the waters came down from under, from the right side of the house, on the south of the altar. 2 Then he brought me out by the way of the gate northward, and led me round by the way without unto the outer gate, by the way of the gate that looketh toward the east; and, behold, there ran out waters on the right side.

3 When the man went forth eastward with the line in his hand, he measured a thousand cubits, and he caused me to pass through the waters, waters that were to the ankles. 4 Again he measured a thousand, and caused me to pass through the waters, waters that were to the knees. Again he measured a thousand, and caused me to pass through the waters, waters that were to the loins. 5 Afterward he measured a thousand; and it was a river that I could not pass through; for the waters were risen, waters to swim in, a river that could not be passed through.

6 And he said unto me, Son of man, hast thou seen this? Then he brought me, and caused me to return to the bank of the river. 7 Now when I had returned, behold, upon the bank of the river were very many trees on the one side and on the other. 8 Then said he unto me, These waters issue forth toward the eastern region, and shall go down into the Arabah; and they shall go toward the sea; into the sea shall the waters go which were made to issue forth; and the waters shall be healed. 9 And it shall come to pass, that every living creature which swarmeth, in every place whither the rivers come, shall live; and there shall be a very great multitude of fish; for these waters are come thither, and the waters of the sea shall be healed, and everything shall live whithersoever the river cometh. 10 And it shall come to pass, that fishers shall stand by it: from En-gedi even unto En-eglaim shall be a place for the spreading of nets; their fish shall be after their kinds, as the fish of the great sea, exceeding many. 11 But the miry places thereof, and the marshes thereof, shall not be healed; they shall be given up to salt. 12 And by the river upon the bank thereof, on this side and on that side, shall grow every tree for food, whose leaf shall not wither, neither shall the fruit thereof fail: it shall bring forth new fruit every month, because the waters thereof issue out of the sanctuary; and the fruit thereof shall be for food, and the leaf thereof for healing.

13 Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: This shall be the border, whereby ye shall divide the land for inheritance according to the twelve tribes of Israel: Joseph shall have two portions. 14 And ye shall inherit it, one as well as another; for I sware to give it unto your fathers: and this land shall fall unto you for inheritance.

15 And this shall be the border of the land: On the north side, from the great sea, by the way of Hethlon, unto the entrance of Zedad; 16 Hamath, Berothah, Sibraim, which is between the border of Damascus and the border of Hamath; Hazer-hatticon, which is by the border of Hauran. 17 And the border from the sea, shall be Hazar-enon at the border of Damascus; and on the north northward is the border of Hamath. This is the north side. 18 And the east side, between Hauran and Damascus and Gilead, and the land of Israel, shall be the Jordan; from the north border, unto the east sea shall ye measure. This is the east side. 19 And the south side southward shall be from Tamar as far as the waters of Meriboth-kadesh, to the brook of Egypt, unto the great sea. This is the south side southward. 20 And the west side shall be the great sea, from the south border as far as over against the entrance of Hamath. This is the west side.

21 So shall ye divide this land unto you according to the tribes of Israel. 22 And it shall come to pass, that ye shall divide it by lot for an inheritance unto you and to the strangers that sojourn among you, who shall beget children among you; and they shall be unto you as the home-born among the children of Israel; they shall have inheritance with you among the tribes of Israel. 23 And it shall come to pass, that in what tribe the stranger sojourneth, there shall ye give him his inheritance, saith the Lord Jehovah.

1 M-a adus înapoi la ușa casei. Și iată că ieșea apă*Ioel 3:18.Zah. 13:1;14:8.Apoc. 22:1. de sub pragul casei, dinspre răsărit, căci fața casei era spre răsărit. Apa se cobora de sub partea dreaptă a casei înspre partea de miazăzi a altarului. 2 M-a scos pe poarta de miazănoapte și m-a făcut să ocolesc pe dinafară până la poarta de răsărit. Și iată că apa curgea din partea dreaptă. 3 Când a înaintat omul*Cap. 40:3. acela spre răsărit cu măsura în mână, a măsurat o mie de coți și m-a trecut prin apă; apa îmi venea până la glezne. 4 A mai măsurat iarăși o mie de coți și m-a pus să trec prin apă, și apa îmi venea până la genunchi. A măsurat iarăși o mie de coți și m-a trecut prin ea, și apa îmi venea până la șolduri. 5 A măsurat iarăși o mie de coți, și atunci era un râu pe care nu-l puteam trece, căci apa era atât de adâncă, încât trebuia să înot – un râu care nu se putea trece. 6 El mi-a zis: „Ai văzut, fiul omului?" Și m-a luat și m-a adus înapoi pe malul râului. 7 Când m-a adus înapoi, iată că pe malul râului erau o mulțime de copaci*Vers. 12.Apoc. 22:2. pe amândouă părțile. 8 El mi-a zis: „Apa aceasta curge spre ținutul de răsărit, se coboară în câmpie și se varsă în mare și, vărsându-se în mare, apele mării se vor vindeca. 9 Orice făptură vie, care se mișcă, va trăi pretutindeni pe unde va curge râul și vor fi o mulțime de pești; căci, pe oriunde va ajunge apa aceasta, apele se vor face sănătoase și, pretutindeni pe unde va ajunge râul acesta, va fi viață. 10 Pescarii vor sta pe malurile lui, de la En-Ghedi până la En-Eglaim, și vor întinde mrejele; vor fi pești de felurite soiuri, ca peștii Mării*Num. 34:6.Ios. 23:4. Cap. 48:28. celei Mari, și vor fi foarte mulți. 11 Mlaștinile și gropile ei nu se vor vindeca, ci vor fi lăsate pradă sării. 12 Dar, lângă*Vers. 7. râul acesta, pe malurile lui, de amândouă părțile, vor crește tot felul de pomi roditori. Frunza*Iov 8:16.Ps. 1:3.Ier. 17:8. lor nu se va veșteji și roadele lor nu se vor sfârși; în fiecare lună vor face roade noi, pentru că apele vor ieși din Sfântul Locaș. Roadele lor vor sluji ca hrană și frunzele lor, ca leac*Apoc. 22:2.." 13 Așa vorbește Domnul Dumnezeu: „Iată hotarele țării pe care o veți împărți ca moștenire celor douăsprezece seminții ale lui Israel. Iosif*Gen. 48:5.1 Cron. 5:1. Cap. 48:4,5. va avea două părți. 14 O veți stăpâni unul ca și altul, cum am jurat cu mâna*Gen. 12:7;13:15;15:7;17:8;26:3;28:13. Cap. 20:5,6,28,42. ridicată că o voi da părinților voștri. Țara aceasta vă va cădea deci la împărțeală ca moștenire*Cap. 48:29.. 15 Iată hotarele țării: înspre miazănoapte, de la Marea cea Mare, drumul*Cap. 48:1. Hetlonului până la Țedad*Num. 34:8., 16 Humat*Num. 34:8., Berota*2 Sam. 8:8., Sibraim, între hotarul Damascului și hotarul Hamatului, Hațer-Haticon, spre hotarul Havranului. 17 Astfel, hotarul va fi de la mare până la Hațar-Enon*Num. 34:9. Cap. 48:1. și, la miazănoapte de el, hotarul Damascului, Țafonului și hotarul Hamatului. Acesta va fi hotarul dinspre miazănoapte. 18 În partea de răsărit, dintre Havran și Damasc, între Galaad și țara lui Israel, hotarul va fi Iordanul, de la hotarul de miazănoapte până la marea de răsărit, și anume până la Tamar. Acesta va fi hotarul de răsărit. 19 Hotarul de miazăzi, înspre miazăzi, va merge de la Tamar până la apele Meriba*Num. 20:13.Deut. 32:51.Ps. 81:7. Cap. 48:28., de la Cades până la pârâul Egiptului și până la Marea cea Mare. Acesta va fi hotarul de miazăzi. 20 Hotarul de apus va fi Marea cea Mare până la locul unde apucă spre Hamat; acesta va fi hotarul de apus. 21 Țara aceasta o veți împărți între voi, după semințiile lui Israel. 22 O veți împărți însă ca moștenire prin sorți între voi și între străinii care vor locui în mijlocul vostru, acei străini*Efes. 3:6.Apoc. 7:9,10. care vor naște copii în mijlocul vostru. Pe aceștia îi veți privi ca pe niște băștinași*Rom. 10:12.Gal. 3:28.Col. 3:11. între copiii lui Israel. Ei să aibă moștenirea prin sorți împreună cu voi între semințiile lui Israel. 23 Străinului îi veți da moștenirea lui în seminția în care va locui", zice Domnul Dumnezeu.
