2 "Deus é poderoso e deve ser temido;

ele faz com que haja paz no céu.

3 Será que alguém já contou os seus anjos?

Haverá alguém sobre quem a sua luz não brilhe?

4 Pode alguém ser correto diante de Deus?

Pode um simples mortal deixar de ser culpado?

5 Para Deus até a lua não tem brilho,

e as estrelas têm defeitos.

6 Que dizer, então, do ser humano, esse inseto?

Que valor tem esse verme para Deus?"

1 Then Bildad the Shuhite answered and said,

2 Dominion and fear are with him; He makes peace in his high places.

3 Is there any number of his armies? And on whom does not his ambush arise?

4 How then can common man be just with God? Or how can he be clean who is born of a woman?

5 Look, even the moon has no brightness, And the stars are not pure in his eyes:

6 How much less is common man, who is a worm! And the son of man, who is a worm!
