Lucas 9

1 Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases. Minekutána pedig összehívta [Jézus ]az õ tizenkét tanítványát, ada nékik erõt és hatalmat minden ördögök ellen, és betegségek gyógyítására.
2 And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick. És elküldé õket, hogy prédikálják az Isten országát, és betegeket gyógyítsanak.
3 And he said to them, Take nothing for your journey, neither staffs, nor bag, neither bread, neither money; neither have two coats apiece. És monda nékik: Semmit az útra ne vigyetek, se pálczákat, se táskát, se kenyeret, se pénzt; se két-két ruhátok ne legyen.
4 And into whatever house ye enter, there abide, and thence depart. És valamely házba bementek, ott maradjatok, és onnét induljatok tovább.
5 And whoever will not receive you, when ye go out of that city, shake off the very dust from your feet for a testimony against them. És valakik be nem fogadnak titeket, kimenvén abból a városból, még a port is verjétek le lábaitokról, bizonyságul õ ellenök.
6 And they departed, and went through the towns, preaching the gospel, and healing every where. Kimenvén annakokáért, bejárák a falukat, hirdetvén az evangyéliomot, és gyógyítván mindenütt.
7 Now Herod the tetrarch heard of all that was done by him: and he was perplexed, because that it was said by some, that John had risen from the dead; Meghallá pedig Heródes a negyedes fejedelem, mindazokat, a mik õ általa történtek: és zavarban volt, mivelhogy némelyek azt mondák, hogy János támadt fel a halálból;
8 And by some, that Elijah had appeared; and by others, that one of the ancient prophets had risen again. Némelyek pedig, hogy Illés jelent meg; mások meg, hogy a régi próféták közül támadt fel valamelyik.
9 And Herod said, John have I beheaded; but who is this of whom I hear such things? And he desired to see him. És monda Heródes: Jánosnak én vettem fejét: kicsoda hát ez, a ki felõl én ilyen dolgokat hallok? És igyekezik vala õt látni.
10 mapa And the apostles, when they had returned, told him all that they had done. And he took them, and went aside privately into a desert place, belonging to the city called Bethsaida. Visszatérvén pedig az apostolok, elbeszélének néki mindent, a mit cselekedtek. És azokat maga mellé vévén, elvonula magánosan a Bethsaida nevû városnak puszta helyére.
11 And the people, when they knew it, followed him: and he received them, and spoke to them of the kingdom of God, and healed them that had need of healing. A sokaság pedig [ezt] megtudván, követé õt: és õ örömmel fogadván õket, szóla nékik az Isten országáról, és a kiknek gyógyulásra volt szükségök, azokat meggyógyítá.
12 And when the day began to decline, then came the twelve, and said to him, Send the multitude away, that they may go into the towns and country around, and lodge, and get victuals: for we are here in a desert place. A nap pedig hanyatlani kezdett; és a tizenkettõ õ hozzá járulván, monda néki: Bocsásd el a sokaságot, hogy elmenvén a körülvaló falvakba és majorokba megszálljanak, és eledelt találjanak, mert itt puszta helyen vagyunk.
13 But he said to them, Give ye them to eat. And they said, We have no more than five loaves and two fishes; except we should go and buy provisions for all this people. Õ pedig monda nékik: Adjatok nékik ti enni. Azok pedig mondának: Nincs nékünk több öt kenyerünknél és két halunknál; hanem ha elmegyünk és mi veszünk eledelt az egész sokaságnak.
14 For they were about five thousand men. And he said to his disciples, Make them sit down by fifties in a company. Mert valának [ott] mintegy ötezeren férfiak. Monda pedig az õ tanítványainak: Ültessétek le õket csoportokba ötvenével.
15 And they did so, and made them all sit down. És a képen cselekedének, és leülteték valamennyit.
16 Then he took the five loaves, and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed them, and broke, and gave to the disciples to set before the multitude. Minekutána pedig vette az öt kenyeret és a két halat, a mennybe emelvén szemeit, megáldá azokat, és megszegé; és adá a tanítványoknak, hogy a sokaság elé tegyék.
17 And they ate, and were all satisfied: and there was taken up of fragments that remained to them, twelve baskets. Evének azért és megelégedének mindnyájan; és felszedék a mi darabok maradtak tõlük, tizenkét kosárral.
18 And it came to pass, as he was in retirement praying, his disciples were with him; and he asked them, saying, Who say the people that I am? És lõn, mikor õ magában imádkozék, vele valának a tanítványok; és megkérdé õket, mondván: Kinek mond engem a sokaság?
19 They answering, said, John the Baptist; but some say, Elijah; and others say, that one of the ancient prophets is risen again. Õk pedig felelvén, mondának: Keresztelõ Jánosnak; némelyek pedig Illésnek; némelyek pedig, hogy a régi próféták közül támadt fel valamelyik.
20 He said to them, But who say ye that I am? Peter answering, said, Christ of God. És monda nékik: Hát ti kinek mondotok engem? Felelvén pedig Péter, monda: Az Isten ama Krisztusának.
21 And he strictly charged them, and commanded them to tell no man that thing, Õ pedig reájok parancsolván, meghagyá, hogy ezt senkinek ne mondják;
22 Saying, The Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders, and chief priests, and scribes, and be put to death, and be raised the third day. Ezt mondván: Szükség az ember Fiának sokat szenvedni és megvettetni a vénektõl, a fõpapoktól és írástudóktól, és megöletni, és harmadnapon feltámadni.
23 And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. Mondja vala pedig mindeneknek: Ha valaki én utánam akar jõni, tagadja meg magát, és vegye fel az õ keresztjét minden nap, és kövessen engem.
24 For whoever will save his life, shall lose it: but whoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it. Mert a ki meg akarja tartani az õ életét, elveszti azt; a ki pedig elveszti az õ életét én érettem, az megtartja azt.
25 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose himself, or be cast away? Mert mit használ az embernek, ha mind e világot megnyeri [is], õ magát pedig elveszti vagy magában kárt vall?
26 For whoever shall be ashamed of me, and of my words, of him will the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in that of his Father, and of the holy angels. Mert valaki szégyel engem és az én beszédemet, az embernek Fia is szégyelni fogja azt, mikor eljõ az õ dicsõségével, és az Atyáéval és a szent angyalokéval.
27 But I tell you in truth, there are some standing here who shall not taste death till they see the kingdom of God. Mondom pedig néktek bizonnyal, hogy vannak az itt állók közül némelyek, kik a halált meg nem kóstolják, mígnem meglátják az Istennek országát.
28 And it came to pass, about eight days after these sayings, he took Peter, and John, and James, and went up upon a mountain to pray. És lõn e beszédek után mintegy nyolczadnappal, hogy maga mellé vevé Pétert, Jánost és Jakabot, és felméne a hegyre imádkozni.
29 And as he prayed, the fashion of his countenance was altered, and his raiment was white and glistening. És imádkozása közben az õ orczájának ábrázata elváltozék, és az õ ruhája fehér [és] fénylõ lõn.
30 And behold, there talked with him two men, who were Moses and Elijah. És ímé két férfiú beszél vala õ vele, kik valának Mózes és Illés;
31 mapa Who appeared in glory, and spoke of his decease which he should accomplish at Jerusalem. Kik dicsõségben megjelenvén, beszélik vala az õ halálát, melyet Jeruzsálemben fog megteljesíteni.
32 But Peter and they that were with him were heavy with sleep: and when they were awake, they saw his glory, and the two men that stood with him. Pétert pedig és a vele lévõket elnyomá az álom; de mikor felébredtek, láták az õ dicsõségét, és ama két férfiút, kik vele állanak vala.
33 And it came to pass, as they departed from him, Peter said to Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah: not knowing what he said. És lõn, mikor azok eltávoztak õ tõle, monda Péter Jézusnak: Mester, jó nékünk itt lennünk: csináljunk azért három hajlékot, egyet néked, Mózesnek is egyet, és egyet Illésnek; nem tudván mit mond.
34 While he was thus speaking, there came a cloud and overshadowed them: and they feared as they entered into the cloud. És mikor õ ezeket mondá, felhõ támada és azokat beárnyékozá; õk pedig megfélemlének, mikor azok bementek a felhõbe.
35 And there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him. És szózat lõn a felhõbõl, mondván: Ez amaz én szerelmes Fiam, õt hallgassátok.
36 And when the voice was past, Jesus was found alone. And they kept it close, and told no man in those days any of those things which they had seen. És mikor a szózat lõn, találtaték Jézus csak maga. Õk pedig hallgatának, és semmit abból, a mit láttak, senkinek el nem mondának azokban a napokban.
37 And it came to pass, that on the next day, when they had come down from the hill, many people met him. És lõn másnap, mikor õk a hegyrõl leszállottak, sok nép méne elébe.
38 And behold, a man of the company cried out, saying, Master, I beseech thee look upon my son: for he is my only child. És ímé egy a sokaság közül felkiálta, mondván: Mester, kérlek téged, tekints az én fiamra; mert nékem egyetlen egyem:
39 And lo, a spirit taketh him, and he suddenly crieth out; and it teareth him that he foameth, and bruising him, hardly departeth from him. És ímé a lélek megragadja õt, és hirtelen kiált; és szaggatja õt, annyira, hogy tajtékot túr, és nehezen megy el tõle, szaggatván õt.
40 And I besought thy disciples to cast him out, and they could not. És kérem a te tanítványaidat, hogy ûzzék ki azt, de nem tudták.
41 And Jesus answering, said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you, and suffer you? Bring thy son hither. Felelvén pedig Jézus, monda: Óh hitetlen és elfajult nemzetség! meddig leszek köztetek, és [meddig] tûrlek titeket? Hozd ide a te fiadat!
42 And as he was yet coming, the demon threw him down, and tore him. And Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, and healed the child, and delivered him again to his father. A míg pedig az odaméne, azon közben az ördög földhöz üté azt, és megrángatá. De Jézus megdorgálá a tisztátalan lelket, és meggyógyítá a gyermeket, és adá azt az õ atyjának.
43 And they were all amazed at the mighty power of God. But while they were all wondering at all things which Jesus did, he said to his disciples, Elálmélkodának pedig mindnyájan az Istennek nagyságos erején. Mikor pedig mindnyájan csodálkozának mind azokon, a miket Jézus cselekedék, monda az õ tanítványainak:
44 Let these sayings sink down into your ears: for the Son of man will be delivered into the hands of men. Vegyétek füleitekbe ezeket a beszédeket: Mert az embernek Fia az emberek kezébe fog adatni.
45 But they understood not this saying, and it was hid from them, that they perceived it not: and they feared to ask him concerning that saying. De õk nem érték e mondást, és el vala rejtve elõlük, hogy ne értsék azt; és féltek õt megkérdezni e mondás felõl.
46 Then there arose a reasoning among them, which of them should be greatest. Támada pedig bennök az a gondolat, hogy ki nagyobb közöttük.
47 And Jesus perceiving the thought of their heart, took a child, and set him by him, Jézus pedig látván az õ szívök gondolatát, egy kis gyermeket megfogván, maga mellé állatá azt,
48 And said to them, Whoever shall receive this child in my name, receiveth me; and whoever shall receive me, receiveth him that sent me: for he that is least among you all, the same shall be great. És monda nékik: Valaki e kis gyermeket befogadja az én nevemben, engem fogad be; és valaki engem befogad, azt fogadja be, a ki engem elküldött; mert a ki legkisebb mindnyájan ti közöttetek, az lesz nagy.
49 And John answered and said, Master, we saw one casting out demons in thy name; and we forbad him, because he followeth not with us. Felelvén pedig János, monda: Mester, láttunk valakit, a ki a te nevedben ördögöket ûz; és eltiltók õt, mivelhogy [téged] nem követ mi velünk.
50 And Jesus said to him, Forbid him not: for he that is not against us, is for us. És monda néki Jézus: Ne tiltsátok el: mert a ki nincs ellenünk, mellettünk van.
51 mapa And it came to pass, when the time was come that he should be received up, he steadfastly set his face to go to Jerusalem, Lõn pedig, mikor az idõ elközelgete, hogy õ felvitessék, eltökélte magát, hogy Jeruzsálembe megy,
52 And sent messengers before his face: and they went and entered into a village of the Samaritans, to make ready for him. És követeket külde az õ orczája elõtt; és [azok] elmenvén, bemenének egy samaritánus faluba, hogy néki [szállást] készítsenek.
53 mapa And they did not receive him, because his face was as though he would go to Jerusalem. De nem fogadák be õt, mivelhogy õ Jeruzsálembe megy vala.
54 And when his disciples James and John saw this, they said, Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elijah did? Mikor pedig ezt látták az õ tanítványai, Jakab és János, mondának: Uram, akarod-é, hogy mondjuk, hogy tûz szálljon alá az égbõl, és emészsze meg ezeket, mint Illyés is cselekedett?
55 But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of. De [Jézus] megfordulván, megdorgálá õket, mondván: Nem tudjátok minémû lélek van ti bennetek:
56 For the Son of man is not come to destroy men's lives, but to save them. And they went to another village. Mert az embernek Fia nem azért jött, hogy elveszítse az emberek lelkét, hanem hogy megtartsa. Elmenének azért más faluba.
57 And it came to pass, that as they were going in the way, a certain man said to him, Lord, I will follow thee whithersoever thou goest. Lõn pedig, mikor menének, valaki monda néki az úton: Követlek téged Uram, valahová mégy!
58 And Jesus said to him, Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head. És monda néki Jézus: A rókáknak barlangjuk van, és az égi madaraknak fészkük; de az ember Fiának nincs fejét hová lehajtania.
59 And he said to another, Follow me. But he said, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father. Monda pedig másnak: Kövess engem. Az pedig monda: Uram, engedd meg nékem, hogy elõbb elmenjek és eltemessem az én atyámat.
60 Jesus said to him, Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the kingdom of God. Monda pedig néki Jézus: Hadd temessék el a halottak az õ halottaikat: te pedig elmenvén, hirdesd az Isten országát.
61 And another also said, Lord, I will follow thee; but let me first go and bid them farewell who are at my house. Monda pedig más is: Követlek téged Uram; de elõbb engedd meg nékem, hogy búcsút vegyek azoktól, a kik az én házamban vannak.
62 And Jesus said to him, No man having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God. És monda néki Jézus: Valaki az eke szarvára veti kezét, és hátra tekint, nem alkalmas az Isten országára.
