Lucas 4

1 mapa And Jesus being full of the Holy Spirit, returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, Jézus pedig Szent Lélekkel telve, visszatére a Jordántól, és viteték a Lélektõl a pusztába
2 Being forty days tempted by the devil. And in those days he ate nothing; and when they were ended, he was afterward hungry. Negyven napig, kísértetvén az ördög által. És nem evék semmit azokban a napokban; de mikor azok elmúltak, végre megéhezék.
3 And the devil said to him, If thou art the Son of God, command this stone that it be made bread. És monda néki az ördög. Ha Isten Fia vagy, mondd e kõnek, hogy változzék kenyérré.
4 And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God. Jézus pedig felele néki, mondván: Meg van írva, hogy nemcsak kenyérrel él az ember, hanem az Istennek minden ígéjével.
5 And the devil taking him up upon a high mountain, showed to him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. Majd felvivén õt az ördög egy nagy magas hegyre, megmutatá néki e föld minden országait egy szempillantásban,
6 And the devil said to him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered to me, and to whomsoever I will, I give it. És monda néki az ördög: Néked adom mindezt a hatalmat és ezeknek dicsõségét; mert nékem adatott, és annak adom, a kinek akarom;
7 If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine. Azért ha te engem imádsz, mindez a tied lesz.
8 And Jesus answered and said to him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. Felelvén pedig Jézus, monda néki: Távozz tõlem, Sátán; mert meg van írva: Az Urat, a te Istenedet imádd, és csak néki szolgálj.
9 mapa And he brought him to Jerusalem, and set him on a pinnacle of the temple, and said to him, If thou art the son of God, cast thyself down from hence. Azután Jeruzsálembe vivé õt, és a templom ormára állítván, monda néki: Ha Isten Fia vagy, vesd alá magad innét;
10 For it is written, He will give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee: Mert meg van írva: Az õ angyalinak parancsol te felõled, hogy megõrizzenek téged;
11 And in their hands they will bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. És: Kezökben hordoznak téged, hogy valamikép meg ne üssed lábadat a kõbe.
12 And Jesus answering, said to him, It is said, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. Felelvén pedig Jézus, monda néki: Megmondatott: Ne kísértsd az Urat, a te Istenedet.
13 And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from him for a season. És elvégezvén minden kísértést az ördög, eltávozék tõle egy idõre.
14 mapa And Jesus returned in the power of the spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the surrounding region. Jézus pedig megtére a Léleknek erejével Galileába: és híre méne néki az egész környéken.
15 And he taught in their synagogues, being glorified by all. És õ taníta azoknak zsinagógáiban, dicsõíttetvén mindenektõl.
16 mapa And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath, and stood up to read. És méne Názáretbe, a hol felneveltetett: és beméne, szokása szerint, szombatnapon a zsinagógába, és felálla olvasni.
17 And there was delivered to him the book of the prophet Isaiah. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written, És adák néki az Ésaiás próféta könyvét; és a könyvet feltárván, arra a helyre nyita, a hol ez vala írva:
18 The spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the broken-hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, Az Úrnak lelke [van] én rajtam, mivelhogy felkent engem, hogy a szegényeknek az evangyéliomot hirdessem, elküldött, hogy a töredelmes szívûeket meggyógyítsam, hogy a foglyoknak szabadulást hirdessek és a vakok szemeinek megnyilását, hogy szabadon bocsássam a lesujtottakat,
19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. Hogy hirdessem az Úrnak kedves esztendejét.
20 And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him. És behajtván a könyvet, átadá a szolgának, és leüle. És a zsinagógában mindenek szemei õ reá valának függesztve.
21 And he began to say to them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears. Õ pedig kezde hozzájuk szólani: Ma teljesedett be ez [az] Írás a ti hallástokra.
22 And all bore him testimony, and wondered at the gracious words which proceeded out of his mouth. And they said, Is not this Joseph's son? És mindnyájan bizonyságot tõnek felõle, és elálmélkodának kedves beszédein, a melyek szájából származtak, és mondának: Avagy nem a József fia-é ez?
23 mapa And he said to them, Ye will surely say to me this proverb, Physician, heal thyself: whatever we have heard done in Capernaum, do also here in thy country. És monda nékik: Bizonyára azt a példabeszédet mondjátok nékem: Orvos, gyógyítsd meg magadat! A miket hallottunk, hogy Kapernaumban történtek, itt a te hazádban is cselekedd meg azokat.
24 And he said, Verily I say to you, No prophet is accepted in his own country. Monda pedig: Bizony mondom néktek: Egy próféta sem kedves az õ hazájában.
25 But I tell you in truth, many widows were in Israel in the days of Elijah, when the heaven was shut three years and six months when great famine was throughout all the land: És igazán mondom néktek, hogy Illés idejében sok özvegy asszony volt Izráelben, mikor az ég három esztendeig és hat hónapig be volt zárva, úgy hogy az egész tartományban nagy éhség volt;
26 mapa But to none of them was Elijah sent, save to Sarepta, a city of Sidon, to a woman that was a widow. Mégis azok közül senkihez nem küldetett Illés, hanem csak Sidonnak Sareptájába az özvegy asszonyhoz.
27 And many lepers were in Israel in the time of Elisha the prophet; and none of them was cleansed, saving Naaman the Syrian. És az Elizeus próféta idejében sok bélpoklos volt Izráelben; de azok közül egy sem tisztult meg, csak a Siriából való Naámán.
28 And all they in the synagogue, when they heard these things, were filled with wrath, És betelének mindnyájan haraggal a zsinagógában, mikor ezeket hallották.
29 And rose up, and thrust him out of the city, and led him to the brow of the hill on which their city was built, that they might cast him down headlong. És felkelvén, kiûzék õt a városon kívül és vivék õt annak a hegynek szélére, a melyen az õ városuk épült, hogy onnan letaszítsák.
30 But he passing through the midst of them, went away, Õ azonban közöttük átmenve, eltávozék.
31 mapa And came down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee, and taught them on the sabbath-days. És leméne Kapernaumba, Galilea városába; és tanítja vala azokat szombatnapokon.
32 And they were astonished at his doctrine: for his word was with power. És csodálkozának az õ tudományán, mert beszéde hatalmas vala.
33 And in the synagogue there was a man who had a spirit of an unclean demon; and he cried out with a loud voice, És a zsinagógában vala egy tisztátalan ördögi lélektõl megszállt ember, a ki fennhangon kiálta,
34 mapa Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy One of God. Mondván: Ah, mi közünk hozzád názáreti Jézus? Jöttél, hogy elveszíts minket? Ismerlek téged ki vagy: az Istennek ama Szentje!
35 And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him. And when the demon had thrown him in the midst, he came out of him, and hurt him not. És megdorgálá õt Jézus, mondván: Némulj meg és menj ki ez emberbõl! És az ördög azt a középre vetvén, kiméne belõle, és nem árta néki semmit.
36 And they were all amazed, and spoke among themselves, saying, What a word is this! for with authority and power he commandeth the unclean spirits, and they come out. És támada félelem mindenekben, és egymással szólnak és beszélnek vala, mondván: Mi dolog ez, hogy nagy méltósággal és hatalommal parancsol a tisztátalan lelkeknek és kimennek?
37 And the fame of him went out into every place of the surrounding country. És elterjede a hír õ felõle a környék minden helyén.
38 And he arose out of the synagogue, and entered into Simon's house. And the mother of Simon's wife was taken with a violent fever; and they besought him for her. Azután a zsinagógából eltávozván, a Simon házába méne. A Simon napa pedig nagy hideglelésben feküdt, és könyörögtek neki érette.
39 And he stood over her, and rebuked the fever; and it left her: and immediately she arose and ministered to them. És [Jézus] mellé állván, megdorgálá a hideglelést, és az elhagyá õt; és õ azonnal felkelvén, szolgála nékik.
40 Now when the sun was setting, all they that had any sick with divers diseases, brought them to him: and he laid his hands on every one of them, and healed them. A nap lementével pedig, mindenek, a kiknek különféle betegeik valának, õ hozzá vivék azokat; õ pedig mindegyikõjükre reávetvén kezeit, meggyógyítá õket.
41 And demons also came out of many, crying out, and saying, Thou art Christ the Son of God. And he rebuking them, suffered them not to speak: for they knew that he was Christ. Sokakból pedig ördögök is mentek ki, kiáltozván és mondván: Te vagy ama Krisztus, az Isten Fia! De õ megdorgálván, nem engedé õket szólani, mivelhogy tudták, hogy õ a Krisztus.
42 And when it was day, he departed, and went into a desert place; and the people sought him, and came to him, and stayed him, that he should not depart from them. A nap fölkeltekor pedig kimenvén, puszta helyre méne; de a sokaság felkeresé õt, és hozzámenének, és tartóztaták õt, hogy ne menjen el tõlök.
43 And he said to them, I must preach the kingdom of God to other cities also, for therefore am I sent. Õ pedig monda nékik: Egyéb városoknak is hirdetnem kell nékem az Istennek országát; mert azért küldettem.
44 mapa And he preached in the synagogues of Galilee. És prédikál vala Galilea zsinagógáiban.
