1 Ora, estas são as gerações dos filhos de Noé, Sem, Cam e Jafé. E a eles nasceram filhos depois do dilúvio.
2 Os filhos de Jafé: Gomer, e Magogue, e Madai, e Javã, e Tubal, e Meseque, e Tiras.
3 E os filhos de Gomer: Asquenaz, e Rifate, e Togarma.
4 E os filhos de Javã: Elisá, e Társis, Quitim, e Dodanim.
5 Por estes, foram divididas as ilhas dos Gentios nas suas terras, cada qual segundo a sua língua, segundo as suas famílias, entre as suas nações.
6 E os filhos de Cam: Cuxe, e Mizraim, e Pute, e Canaã.
7 E os filhos de Cuxe: Sebá, e Havilá, e Sabtá, e Raamá, e Sabtecá; e os filhos de Raamá: Sebá e Dedã.
8 E Cuxe gerou Ninrode; este começou a ser poderoso na terra.
9 Ele foi um caçador poderoso diante do SENHOR, pelo que é dito: Como Ninrode, poderoso caçador diante do SENHOR.
10 E no começo do seu reino estavam Babel, e Ereque, e Acade, e Calné na terra de Sinar.
11 Daquela terra saiu Assur e edificou Nínive, e a cidade de Reobote-Ir, e Calá.
12 E Resen, entre Nínive e Calá; esta mesma é uma grande cidade.
13 E Mizraim gerou Ludim, e Anamim, e Leabim, e Naftuim,
14 e Patrusim, e Casluim (de quem vieram os filisteus), e Caftorim.
15 E Canaã gerou Sidom, seu primogênito, e Hete,
16 e o jebuseu, e o amorreu, e o girgaseu,
17 e o heveu, e o arqueu, e o sineu,
18 e o arvadeu, e o zemareu, e o hamateu, e depois as famílias dos cananeus foram espalhadas.
19 E o termo dos cananeus era desde Sidom, quando se vai para Gerar, até Gaza; quando se vai para Sodoma, e Gomorra, e Admá, e Zeboim até Lasa.
20 Estes são os filhos de Cam, segundo as suas famílias, segundo as suas línguas, em suas terras, e em suas nações.
21 A Sem também nasceram filhos, o pai de todos os filhos de Éber, e o irmão mais velho de Jafé.
22 Os filhos de Sem: Elão, e Assur, e Arfaxade, e Lude, e Arã.
23 E os filhos de Arã: Uz, e Hul, e Geter, e Más.
24 E Arfaxade gerou Salá; e Salá gerou Éber.
25 E a Éber nasceram dois filhos: o nome de um foi Pelegue, pois em seus dias foi dividida a terra; e o nome do seu irmão foi Joctã.
26 E Joctã gerou Almodá, e Selefe, e Hazarmavé, e Jerá,
27 e Hadorão, e Usal, e Dicla,
28 e Obal, e Abimael, e Sabá,
29 e Ofir, e Havilá, e Jobabe; todos estes eram filhos de Joctã.
30 E sua habitação foi desde Messa, quando se vai para Sefar, um monte do leste.
31 Estes são os filhos de Sem, segundo as suas famílias, segundo as suas línguas, em suas terras, em suas nações.
32 Estas são as famílias dos filhos de Noé, segundo as suas gerações, em suas nações; e por estas foram as nações divididas na terra depois do dilúvio.
1 Now these are [the] generations of the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth. And sons were born to them after the flood.
2 The sons of Japheth: Gomer and Magog and Madai and Javan and Tubal and Meshech and Tiras.
3 And the sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz and Riphath and Togarmah.
4 And the sons of Javan: Elishah and Tarshish and Kittim and Dodanim.
5 By these were the coasts of the nations divided in their lands, every one after his tongue, after their families, in their nations.
6 And the sons of Ham: Cush and Mizraim and Phut and Canaan.
7 And the sons of Cush: Seba and Havilah and Sabtah and Raamah and Sabtecha. And the sons of Raamah: Sheba and Dedan.
8 And Cush fathered Nimrod. He began to be a mighty one in the earth.
9 He was a mighty hunter before the LORD. Therefore it is said, Even as Nimrod the mighty hunter before the LORD.
10 And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.
11 Out of that land he went forth [to] Assyria. And he built Nineveh, and the city Rehoboth, and Calah,
12 and Resen between Nineveh and Calah, which [is] a great city.
13 And Mizraim fathered Ludim and Anamim and Lehabim and Naphtuhim,
14 and Pathrusim and Casluhim (from whom came the Philistines) and Caphtorim.
15 And Canaan fathered Sidon, his first-born, and Heth,
16 and the Jebusite and the Amorite, and the Girgashite,
17 and the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite,
18 and the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite. And afterward the families of the Canaanites were spread abroad.
19 And the border of the Canaanites was from Sidon (as you come to Gerar) to Gaza, as you go in towards Sodom and Gomorrah and Admah and Zeboim, even to Lasha.
20 These [were] the sons of Ham, after their families, after their tongues, in their countries, and in their nations.
21 And to Shem were born, even him, the father of all the sons of Eber, the brother of Japheth the elder.
22 The sons of Shem: Elam and Asshur and Arpachshad and Lud and Aram.
23 And the sons of Aram: Uz and Hul and Gether and Mash,
24 And Arpachshad fathered Salah; and Salah fathered Eber.
25 And two sons were born to Eber. The name of the one was Peleg, for in his days the earth was divided. And his brother's name [was] Joktan.
26 And Joktan fathered Almodad and Sheleph and Hazarmaveth and Jerah,
27 and Hadoram and Uzal and Diklah,
28 and Obal and Abimael and Sheba,
29 and Ophir and Havilah, and Jobab. All these [were] the sons of Joktan.
30 And their dwelling was from Mesha, as you go to Sephar, a mountain of the east.
31 These [are] the sons of Shem, after their families, after their tongues, in their lands, and after their nations.
32 These [are] the families of the sons of Noah, after their generations, in their nations. And from these were the nations divided in the earth after the flood.
