A psalm of thanksgiving.

1 Let the whole earth shout triumphantly to the Lord!  * 100:1 Ps 66:1; 98:4

2 Serve the Lord with gladness;

come before him with joyful songs.  * 100:1–2 Ps 95:1–2; 98:4–6

3 Acknowledge that the Lord is God.

He made us, and we are his  * 100:3 Alt Hb tradition, some Hb mss, LXX, Syr, Vg read and not we ourselves,* 100:3 Dt 32:6; Ps 95:6—

his people, the sheep of his pasture.  * 100:3 Ps 79:13; 95:7

4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving  * 100:4–5 Ps 119:90; 136:1; Lm 3:22–23

and his courts with praise.

Give thanks to him and bless his name.  * 100:4 Ps 75:1; 116:17

5 For the Lord is good, and his faithful love endures forever;

his faithfulness, through all generations.
