A Childlike Spirit

1 Lord, my heart is not proud;

my eyes are not haughty.  * 131:1 Ps 101:5; Rm 12:16

I do not get involved with things

too great or too wondrous for me.  * 131:1 Jb 42:3; Ps 139:6

2 Instead, I have calmed and quieted my soul

like a weaned child with its mother;

3 Israel, put your hope in the  Lord,

both now and forever.  * 131:3 Ps 130:7
