Blessings for Those Who Fear God

A song of ascents.

1 How happy is everyone who fears the  Lord,

who walks in his ways!  * 128:1 Ps 112:1; 119:1,3

2 You will surely eat

what your hands have worked for.  * 128:2 Is 3:10

You will be happy,

and it will go well for you.  * 128:2 Ec 8:12

3 Your wife will be like a fruitful vine

within your house,

your children, like young olive trees

around your table.  * 128:3 Ps 52:8; Ezk 19:10

4 In this very way

the man who fears the  Lord

will be blessed.  * 128:4 Ps 115:13

5 May the Lord bless you from Zion,

so that you will see the prosperity of Jerusalem

all the days of your life  * 128:5 Ps 20:2; 134:3; 135:21

6 and will see your children’s children!
