7 Where can I go to escape your Spirit?

Where can I flee from your presence?  * 139:7 Jr 23:24

8 If I go up to heaven, you are there;  * 139:8 Am 9:2–4

if I make my bed in Sheol, you are there.  * 139:8 Jb 26:6; Is 14:11

9 If I fly on the wings of the dawn

and settle down on the western horizon,  * 139:9 Lit the end of the sea

10 even there your hand will lead me;
