Salmos 63

Praise God Who Satisfies

A psalm of David. When he was in the Wilderness of Judah. # 63:title 2Sm 16:14; 17:2,29

1 God, you are my God; I eagerly seek you.

I thirst for you;

my body faints for you

in a land that is dry, desolate, and without water.  * 63:1 Ps 42:2; Is 26:9

2 So I gaze on you in the sanctuary

to see your strength and your glory.  * 63:2 Jb 19:26–27; Ps 17:15; 27:4

3 My lips will glorify you

because your faithful love is better than life.  * 63:3 Ps 69:16

4 So I will bless you as long as I live;

at your name, I will lift up my hands.  * 63:4 Ps 28:2; 143:6; Lm 3:41

5 You satisfy me as with rich food;  * 63:5 Lit with fat and fatness,* 63:5 Ps 36:8

my mouth will praise you with joyful lips.  * 63:5 Ps 71:23

6 When I think of you as I lie on my bed,

I meditate on you during the night watches  * 63:6 Ps 77:6; 119:148

7 because you are my helper;  * 63:7 Ps 27:9; 40:17

I will rejoice in the shadow of your wings.  * 63:7 Ps 17:8; 36:7; 57:1

8 I follow close to you;

your right hand holds on to me.  * 63:8 Ps 18:35

9 But those who intend to destroy my life

will go into the depths of the earth.  * 63:9 Ps 55:15; Ezk 26:20; 31:14–18

10 They will be given over to the power of the sword;  * 63:10 Jr 18:21; Ezk 35:5

they will become a meal for jackals.

11 But the king will rejoice in God;  * 63:11 Ps 21:1

all who swear by him will boast,

for the mouths of liars will be shut.  * 63:11 Ps 107:42; Rm 3:19
