Salmos 92

God’s Love and Faithfulness

A psalm. A song for the Sabbath day.

1 It is good to give thanks to the  Lord,

to sing praise to your name, Most High,  * 92:1 Ps 135:3; 147:1

2 to declare your faithful love in the morning

and your faithfulness at night,  * 92:2 Ps 59:16; 89:1; Lm 3:22–23

3 with a ten-stringed harp  * 92:3 Or ten-stringed instrument and a harp

and the music of a lyre.  * 92:3 Ps 33:2

4 For you have made me rejoice, Lord,

by what you have done;

I will shout for joy

because of the works of your hands.  * 92:4 Ps 40:5; 143:5

5 How magnificent are your works,  Lord,

how profound your thoughts!  * 92:5 Ps 139:17; Is 55:8–9

6 A stupid person does not know,

a fool does not understand this:  * 92:6 Ps 73:22

7 though the wicked sprout like grass  * 92:7 Ps 103:15–16; Is 37:27; 40:6–7

and all evildoers flourish,

they will be eternally destroyed.  * 92:7 Ps 37:1–2; 73:12–20; 90:5–6; Mal 4:1; Jms 1:10–11

8 But you, Lord, are exalted forever.  * 92:8 Ps 93:4

9 For indeed, Lord, your enemies —

indeed, your enemies will perish;

all evildoers will be scattered.  * 92:9 Ps 37:20; 68:1

10 You have lifted up my horn  * 92:10 Ps 89:17,24; 112:9

like that of a wild ox;

I have been anointed  * 92:10 Syr reads you have anointed me with the finest oil.  * 92:10 Ps 45:7

11 My eyes look at my enemies;

when evildoers rise against me,

my ears hear them.  * 92:11 Ps 37:34; 54:7

12 The righteous thrive like a palm tree

and grow like a cedar tree in Lebanon.  * 92:12 Ps 1:3; Is 61:3; Jr 17:8

13 Planted in the house of the  Lord,

they thrive in the courts of our God.  * 92:13 Is 60:21

14 They will still bear fruit in old age,

healthy and green,  * 92:14 Is 37:31; 46:4

15 to declare, "The  Lord is just;

he is my rock,

and there is no unrighteousness in him."  * 92:15 Dt 32:4; Ps 18:2; 94:22
