1 And he brought me back toward the outer gate of the sanctuary which looked toward the east; and it was shut. 2 And Jehovah said unto me, This gate shall be shut; it shall not be opened, and no one shall enter in by it: for Jehovah, the God*GodHebrew: Elohim of Israel, hath entered in by it; and it shall be shut. 3 As for the prince, he, the prince, shall sit in it to eat bread before Jehovah: he shall enter by the way of the porch of the gate, and shall go out by the way of the same.

4 And he brought me the way of the north gate before the house; and I beheld, and lo, the glory of Jehovah filled the house of Jehovah: and I fell upon my face. 5 And Jehovah said unto me, Son of man, apply thy heart, and behold with thine eyes, and hear with thine ears all that I say unto thee concerning all the statutes of the house of Jehovah, and all the laws thereof; and mark well the entering in of the house, with every going forth of the sanctuary; 6 and say to the rebellious, to the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Let it suffice you of all your abominations, O house of Israel, 7 in that ye have brought strangers, uncircumcised in heart and uncircumcised in flesh, to be in my sanctuary, to profane it, even my house, when ye offered my bread, the fat and the blood; and they have broken my covenant besides all your abominations. 8 And ye have not kept the charge of my holy things, but have set keepers of my charge in my sanctuary for yourselves. 9 Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: No stranger, uncircumcised in heart and uncircumcised in flesh, shall enter into my sanctuary, of any stranger that is among the children of Israel.

10 But the Levites who went away far from me, when Israel went astray, going astray from me after their idols, they shall even bear their iniquity; 11 but they shall be ministers in my sanctuary, having oversight at the gates of the house, and doing the service of the house: they shall slaughter the burnt-offering and the sacrifice for the people, and they shall stand before them to minister unto them. 12 Because they ministered unto them before their idols, and were unto the house of Israel a stumbling-block of iniquity; therefore have I lifted up my hand against them, saith the Lord Jehovah, that they shall bear their iniquity. 13 And they shall not draw near unto me, to do the office of a priest unto me, nor to draw near to any of my holy things, even to the most holy; but they shall bear their confusion, and their abominations which they have committed. 14 And I will make them keepers of the charge of the house, for all the service thereof, and for all that shall be done therein. 15 But the priests, the Levites, the sons of Zadok, that kept the charge of my sanctuary when the children of Israel went astray from me, they shall approach unto me to minister unto me, and they shall stand before me to present unto me the fat and the blood, saith the Lord Jehovah. 16 They shall enter into my sanctuary, and they shall approach unto my table, to minister unto me, and they shall keep my charge.

17 And it shall come to pass when they enter in at the gates of the inner court, they shall be clothed with linen garments; and no wool shall come upon them, when they minister in the gates of the inner court, and towards the house. 18 They shall have linen tires upon their heads, and shall have linen breeches upon their loins; they shall not gird on anything that causeth sweat. 19 And when they go forth into the outer court, into the outer court to the people, they shall put off their garments wherein they ministered, and lay them in the holy cells; and they shall put on other garments, that they may not hallow the people with their garments. 20 Neither shall they shave their heads, nor suffer their locks to grow long: they shall duly poll their heads. 21 Neither shall any priest drink wine when they enter into the inner court. 22 And they shall not take for their wives a widow, nor her that is put away; but they shall take maidens of the seed of the house of Israel, or a widow that is the widow of a priest. 23 And they shall teach my people the difference between holy and profane, and cause them to discern between unclean and clean. 24 And in controversy they shall stand to judge: they shall judge it according to my judgments; and they shall keep my laws and my statutes in all my solemnities; and they shall hallow my sabbaths. 25 And they shall come at no dead person to become unclean; but for father, or for mother, or for son, or for daughter, for brother, or for sister that hath had no husband, they may become unclean. 26 And after he is cleansed, they shall count unto him seven days. 27 And on the day that he goeth into the sanctuary, unto the inner court, to minister in the sanctuary, he shall present his sin-offering, saith the Lord Jehovah. 28 And it shall be unto them for an inheritance; I am their inheritance: and ye shall give them no possession in Israel; I am their possession. 29 They shall eat the oblation and the sin-offering and the trespass-offering; and every devoted thing in Israel shall be theirs. 30 And the first of all the first-fruits of every kind, and every heave-offering of every kind, of all your heave-offerings, shall be for the priests; ye shall also give unto the priest the first of your dough, that he may cause the blessing to rest on thy house. 31 The priests shall not eat of anything that dieth of itself, or of that which is torn, whether of fowl or of beast.

De aceea va rămâne închisă! 3 În ce privește pe voievod, voievodul va putea să șadă sub ea, ca să mănânce*Gen. 31:54.1 Cor. 10:18. pâinea de jertfă înaintea Domnului. El*Cap. 46:2,8. va intra pe drumul care dă în tinda porții și va ieși pe același drum." 4 M-a dus apoi la poarta de miazănoapte, înaintea casei Templului. M-am uitat și iată*Cap. 3:23;43:5. că slava Domnului umplea Casa Domnului! Și am căzut*Cap. 1:28. cu fața la pământ. 5 Domnul mi-a zis: „Fiul omului*Cap. 40:4., fii cu luare aminte, uită-te cu ochii tăi și ascultă cu urechile tale tot ce-ți voi spune cu privire la toate rânduielile Casei Domnului și cu privire la toate legile ei; privește cu băgare de seamă intrarea casei și toate ieșirile Sfântului Locaș! 6 Și spune celor îndărătnici*Cap. 2:5., casei lui Israel: ‘Așa vorbește Domnul Dumnezeu: «Ajungă-vă*Cap. 45:9.1 Pet. 4:3. toate urâciunile voastre, casa lui Israel! 7 Ați băgat*Cap. 43:8. Vers. 9.Fapte 21:28. în Locașul Meu cel Sfânt niște străini*Lev. 22:25. cu inima*Lev. 26:41.Deut. 10:16.Fapte 7:51. netăiată împrejur și cu carnea netăiată împrejur ca să-Mi spurce casa; ați adus pâinea Mea*Lev. 21:6,8,17,21., grăsimea*Lev. 3:16;17:11. și sângele înaintea tuturor urâciunilor voastre și ați rupt astfel legământul Meu. 8 N-ați păzit*Lev. 22:2. ce trebuia păzit cu privire la lucrurile Mele cele sfinte, ci i-ați pus în locul vostru, ca să facă slujbă în Locașul Meu cel Sfânt.» 9 Așa vorbește Domnul Dumnezeu: «Niciun străin*Vers. 7. netăiat împrejur cu inima și netăiat împrejur cu trupul să nu intre în Locașul Meu cel Sfânt, niciunul din străinii care vor fi în mijlocul copiilor lui Israel. 10 Mai mult, leviții*2 Împ. 23:8.2 Cron. 29:4,5. Cap. 48:11. care s-au depărtat de Mine când se rătăcea Israel și se abătea de la Mine ca să-și urmeze idolii vor purta pedeapsa nelegiuirilor lor: 11 ei vor fi în Locașul Meu cel Sfânt ca slugi, vor păzi*1 Cron. 26:1. porțile casei și vor face slujbă în casă; vor junghia*2 Cron. 29:34. pentru popor vitele rânduite pentru arderile-de-tot și pentru celelalte jertfe și vor sta*Num. 16:9. înaintea lui ca să-i slujească. 12 Pentru că i-au slujit înaintea idolilor lui și au făcut*Is. 9:16.Mal. 2:8. să cadă în păcat casa lui Israel, de aceea Îmi ridic mâna*Ps. 106:26. asupra lor», zice Domnul Dumnezeu, «ca să-și poarte pedeapsa nelegiuirii lor. 13 Nu se vor*Num. 18:3.2 Împ. 23:9. apropia de Mine ca să fie în slujba Mea ca preoți, nu se vor apropia de lucrurile Mele cele sfinte, nici de lucrurile Mele preasfinte, ci vor purta*Cap. 32:30;36:7. pedeapsa rușinii lor și urâciunilor pe care le-au săvârșit. 14 Totuși le voi da paza*Num. 18:4.1 Cron. 23:28,32. casei, îi voi întrebuința la toată slujba ei și la tot ce trebuie făcut în ea. 15 Dar*Cap. 40:46;43:19. preoții, leviții, fiii*1 Sam. 2:35. lui Țadoc, care au păzit slujba Locașului Meu celui Sfânt când*Vers. 10. se rătăceau copiii lui Israel de la Mine, aceia se vor apropia de Mine să-Mi slujească și vor sta*Deut. 10:8. înaintea Mea ca să-Mi aducă grăsime*Vers. 7. și sânge», zice Domnul Dumnezeu. 16 «Ei vor intra în Locașul Meu cel Sfânt, se vor apropia de masa*Cap. 41:22. Mea ca să-Mi slujească și vor fi în slujba Mea. 17 Când vor trece pe porțile curții dinăuntru, se vor îmbrăca*Exod 28:39,40,43;39:27,28. în haine de in; nu vor avea pe ei nimic de lână când vor face slujba în porțile curții dinăuntru și în casă. 18 Vor avea pe cap*Exod 28:40,42;39:28. și scufii de in și izmene de in pe coapsele lor, nu se vor încinge cu ceva care să aducă sudoarea, 19 iar când vor ieși să se ducă în curtea de afară, la popor, vor lepăda veșmintele*Cap. 42:14;46:20.Exod 29:37;30:29.Lev. 6:27.Mat. 23:17,19. cu care fac slujba și le vor pune în odăile Sfântului Locaș; se vor îmbrăca în altele ca să nu sfințească poporul cu veșmintele lor. 20 Nu-și*Lev. 21:5. vor rade capul, dar nici nu vor lăsa părul să crească în voie, ci va trebui să-și taie părul. 21 Niciun preot*Lev. 10:9. nu va bea vin când va intra în curtea dinăuntru. 22 Nu vor lua de nevastă nicio văduvă*Lev. 21:7,13,14., nicio femeie lăsată de bărbat, ci vor lua numai fecioare din sămânța casei lui Israel, totuși vor putea să ia și pe văduva unui preot. 23 Vor*Lev. 10:10,11. Cap. 22:26.Mal. 2:7. învăța pe poporul Meu să deosebească ce este sfânt de ce nu este sfânt și vor arăta deosebirea dintre ce este necurat și ce este curat. 24 Vor judeca în neînțelegeri*Deut. 17:8.2 Cron. 19:8,10. și vor hotărî după legile Mele. Vor păzi, de asemenea, legile și poruncile Mele, la toate sărbătorile Mele și vor sfinți*Cap. 22:26. Sabatele Mele. 25 Un preot nu se va duce la un*Lev. 21:1. mort, ca să nu se facă necurat; nu va putea să se facă necurat decât pentru un tată, pentru o mamă, pentru un fiu, pentru o fiică, pentru un frate și pentru o soră care nu era măritată. 26 După curățire*Num. 6:10;19:11., i se vor număra șapte zile. 27 În ziua când va intra în Locașul Meu cel Sfânt, în curtea*Vers. 17. dinăuntru, ca să facă slujba în Sfântul Locaș, își va aduce*Lev. 4:3. jertfa de ispășire», zice Domnul Dumnezeu. 28 «Iată moștenirea pe care o vor avea: Eu voi fi*Num. 18:20.Deut. 10:9;18:1,2.Ios. 13:14,33. moștenirea lor. Să nu le dați nicio moșie în Israel: Eu voi fi moșia lor! 29 Dar se vor hrăni*Lev. 6:18,29;7:6. cu darurile de mâncare, cu jertfele de ispășire și de vină și tot ce va fi închinat*Lev. 27:21,28.Num. 18:14. Domnului prin făgăduință în Israel va fi al lor. 30 Cele mai bune*Exod 13:2;22:29,30;23:19.Num. 3:13;18:12,13. din cele dintâi roade de orice fel și partea ridicată din toate darurile de mâncare pe care le veți aduce ca daruri ridicate vor fi ale preoților; veți da preoților și pârga*Num. 15:20.Neem. 10:37. făinii voastre, pentru ca*Prov. 3:9,10.Mal. 3:10. binecuvântarea să rămână peste casa voastră. 31 Preoții însă nu vor mânca din nicio pasăre sau vită moartă*Exod 22:31.Lev. 22:8. ori sfâșiată de fiară.
