1 And thou, son of man, prophesy against Gog, and say, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal; 2 and I will turn thee back, and lead thee, and will cause thee to come up from the uttermost north, and will bring thee upon the mountains of Israel. 3 And I will smite thy bow out of thy left hand, and will cause thine arrows to fall out of thy right hand. 4 Thou shalt fall upon the mountains of Israel, thou, and all thy bands, and the peoples that are with thee: I have given thee to be meat for the birds of prey of every wing, and to the beasts of the field. 5 Thou shalt fall on the open field; for I have spoken it, saith the Lord Jehovah. 6 And I will send a fire on Magog, and among them that dwell at ease in the isles: and they shall know that I am Jehovah. 7 And my holy name will I make known in the midst of my people Israel; and I will not suffer my holy name to be profaned any more: and the nations shall know that I am Jehovah, the Holy One in Israel.

8 Behold, it cometh, and shall be done, saith the Lord Jehovah. This is the day whereof I have spoken. 9 And they that dwell in the cities of Israel shall go forth, and shall kindle fire, and burn weapons, and shields, and targets, bows, and arrows, and hand-staves, and spears: and they shall make fires with them seven years. 10 And no wood shall be taken out of the field, neither cut down out of the forests; for they shall make fire with the weapons; and they shall spoil those that spoiled them, and plunder those that plundered them, saith the Lord Jehovah. 11 And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will give unto Gog a place there for burial in Israel, the valley of the passers-by to the east of the sea; and it shall stop the wayof the passers-by; and there shall they bury Gog and all the multitude; and they shall call it, Valley of Hamon-Gog. 12 And seven months shall the house of Israel be burying them, that they may cleanse the land; 13 and all the people of the land shall bury them; and it shall be to them for renown in the day that I shall be glorified, saith the Lord Jehovah. 14 And they shall sever out men of continual employment to go through the land, who, with the passers-by, shall bury those that remain upon the face of the land, to cleanse it: at the end of seven months shall they make a search. 15 And the passers-by shall pass through the land, and when any seeth a man’s bone, he shall set up a sign by it, till the buriers have buried it in the Valley of Hamon-Gog. 16 And also the name of the city shall be Hamonah. Thus shall they cleanse the land. 17 And thou, son of man, thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Speak unto the birds of every wing, and to every beast of the field, Gather yourselves together and come, assemble yourselves on every side to my sacrifice which I sacrifice for you, a great sacrifice upon the mountains of Israel, that ye may eat flesh, and drink blood. 18 Ye shall eat the flesh of the mighty, and drink the blood of the princes of the earth, of rams, of lambs, and of goats, and of bullocks, all of them fatted beasts of Bashan. 19 And ye shall eat fat till ye are full, and drink blood till ye are drunken, of my sacrifice which I sacrifice for you. 20 And ye shall be filled at my table with horses and charioteers, with mighty men, and with all men of war, saith the Lord Jehovah. 21 And I will set my glory among the nations, and all the nations shall see my judgment which I have executed, and my hand which I have laid upon them. 22 And the house of Israel shall know that I am Jehovah their God*GodHebrew: Elohim from that day and forward.

23 And the nations shall know that the house of Israel went into captivity for their iniquity, because they were unfaithful against me; and I hid my face from them, and gave them into the hand of their enemies, so that they fell all of them by the sword. 24 According to their uncleanness and according to their transgressions I did unto them, and I hid my face from them. 25 Therefore, thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Now will I bring again the captivity of Jacob, and have mercy upon the whole house of Israel, and will be jealous for my holy name: 26 and they shall bear their confusion, and all their unfaithfulness in which they have acted unfaithfully against me, when they shall dwell safely in their land, and none shall make them afraid; 27 when I have brought them again from the peoples, and gathered them out of their enemies' lands, and am hallowed in them in the sight of many nations. 28 And they shall know that I am Jehovah their God*GodHebrew: Elohim in that I caused them to be led into captivity among the nations, and have gathered them unto their own land, and have left none of them any more there. 29 And I will not hide my face any more from them, for I shall have poured out my Spirit upon the house of Israel, saith the Lord Jehovah.

1 Fiul omului*Cap. 38:2,3., prorocește acum împotriva lui Gog și spune: ‘Așa vorbește Domnul Dumnezeu: «Iată că am necaz pe tine, Gog, domnul Roșului, Meșecului și Tubalului! 2 Te voi*Cap. 38:15. târî, te voi aduce, te voi sui din fundul miazănopții și te voi aduce pe munții lui Israel. 3 Îți voi doborî arcul din mâna stângă și voi face să-ți cadă săgețile din mâna dreaptă. 4 Vei cădea pe munții lui Israel, tu*Cap. 38:21. Vers. 17. și toate oștile tale și popoarele care vor fi cu tine; te*Cap. 33:27. voi da de mâncare păsărilor de pradă, tuturor celor ce au aripi, și fiarelor câmpului. 5 Vei cădea pe fața câmpului, căci Eu am vorbit», zice Domnul Dumnezeu. 6 «Voi pune*Cap. 38:22.Amos 1:4. foc Magogului și celor ce locuiesc liniștiți în*Ps. 72:10. ostroave, ca să știe că Eu sunt Domnul. 7 Îmi voi face cunoscut*Vers. 22. Numele Meu cel sfânt în mijlocul poporului Meu Israel și nu-i voi mai lăsa să-Mi pângărească*Lev. 18:21. Cap. 20:39. Numele Meu cel sfânt, ci vor ști*Cap. 38:16,23. neamurile că Eu sunt Domnul, Sfântul lui Israel! 8 Iată*Apoc. 16:17;21:6. că lucrurile acestea vin și se întâmplă», zice Domnul Dumnezeu. «Aceasta este ziua despre care*Cap. 38:17. am vorbit. 9 Atunci, locuitorii cetăților lui Israel vor ieși, vor arde și vor da pradă flăcărilor armele, pavezele și scuturile, arcurile și săgețile, lăncile și sulițele; și șapte ani vor face focul cu ele. 10 Nu vor lua lemne de pe câmp și nu vor tăia lemne din păduri, ci vor face focul cu armele. Vor jefui*Is. 14:2. pe cei ce i-au jefuit și vor prăda pe cei ce i-au prădat», zice Domnul Dumnezeu. 11 «În ziua aceea, voi da lui Gog un loc de înmormântare în Israel: Valea Călătorilor, la răsăritul Mării Moarte, și mormântul acesta va astupa trecerea călătorilor. Acolo vor îngropa pe Gog cu toată mulțimea lui și vor numi valea aceasta: Valea mulțimii lui Gog. 12 Șapte luni îi va îngropa casa lui Israel, ca să curățească*Deut. 21:23. Vers. 14,16. țara. 13 Tot poporul țării îi va îngropa și i se va duce vestea în ziua când voi fi*Cap. 28:22. proslăvit», zice Domnul Dumnezeu. 14 «Apoi, vor alege niște oameni care vor cutreiera neîncetat țara și care vor îngropa trupurile rămase pe fața pământului, ca să curățească*Vers. 12. țara; după șapte luni, vor începe să cerceteze. 15 Cei ce vor străbate țara o vor cutreiera și, când unul din ei va vedea oasele unui om, va pune un semn lângă el până îl vor îngropa groparii în Valea mulțimii lui Gog. 16 Tot acolo va mai fi și o cetate numită Hamona (Mulțime). Așa vor*Vers. 12. curăți țara.»’ 17 Fiul omului, așa vorbește Domnul Dumnezeu: ‘Spune*Apoc. 19:17. păsărilor de orice soi și tuturor fiarelor câmpului: «Adunați-vă*Is. 18:6;34:6.Ier. 12:9.Ţef. 1:7. și veniți! Strângeți-vă din toate părțile pentru jertfa Mea pe care o junghii pentru voi; jertfă mare este*Vers. 4. pe munții lui Israel! Mâncați carne și beți sânge, 18 mâncați*Apoc. 19:18. carnea vitejilor și beți sângele voievozilor pământului, sânge de berbeci, de miei, de țapi, de tauri îngrășați*Deut. 32:14.Ps. 22:12. din Basan! 19 Mâncați grăsime până vă veți sătura și beți sânge până vă veți îmbăta din jertfele Mele pe care le voi înjunghia pentru voi! 20 Săturați-vă*Ps. 76:6. Cap. 38:4. la masa Mea de carnea cailor și a călăreților, de carnea vitejilor*Apoc. 19:18. și a tuturor oamenilor de război», zice Domnul Dumnezeu. 21 Îmi voi*Cap. 38:16,23. arăta slava între neamuri, și toate neamurile vor vedea judecățile pe care le voi face și pedepsele cu care îi va lovi mâna*Exod 7:4. Mea. 22 Cei din casa lui Israel vor ști*Vers. 7,28. că Eu sunt Domnul Dumnezeul lor, din ziua aceea și de atunci înainte. 23 Și neamurile*Cap. 36:18-20,23. vor cunoaște că, din pricina nelegiuirilor ei, a fost dusă casa lui Israel în robie, din pricina fărădelegilor ei săvârșite de ea împotriva Mea; de aceea le-am ascuns*Deut. 31:17.Is. 59:2.Lev. 26:25. Fața Mea și i-am dat în mâinile vrăjmașilor lor, ca să piară toți uciși de sabie. 24 Le-am făcut după necurățiile*Cap. 36:19. lor și după fărădelegile lor și le-am ascuns Fața Mea.’ 25 De aceea, așa vorbește Domnul Dumnezeu: ‘Acum*Ier. 30:3,18. Cap. 34:13;36:24. voi aduce înapoi pe prinșii de război ai lui Iacov, voi avea milă de toată*Cap. 20:40.Osea 1:11. casa lui Israel și voi fi gelos de Numele Meu cel sfânt. 26 Atunci își vor uita*Dan. 9:16. ocara și toate fărădelegile pe care le-au săvârșit împotriva Mea când locuiau*Lev. 26:5,6. liniștiți în țara lor și când nu-i tulbura nimeni. 27 Când îi voi aduce*Cap. 28:25,26. înapoi dintre popoare și îi voi strânge din țara vrăjmașilor lor, voi fi sfințit*Cap. 36:23,24;38:16. de ei înaintea multor neamuri. 28 Și vor ști*Cap. 34:30. Vers. 22. că Eu sunt Domnul Dumnezeul lor, care-i lăsasem să fie luați prinși de război între neamuri și care-i strâng iarăși în țara lor; nu voi mai lăsa pe niciunul din ei acolo 29 și nu le*Is. 54:8. voi mai ascunde Fața Mea, căci voi turna*Ioel 2:28.Zah. 12:10.Fapte 2:17. Duhul Meu peste casa lui Israel’, zice Domnul Dumnezeu."
