1 Bom é render graças a Jeová, E cantar louvores ao teu nome, ó Altíssimo:2 Manifestar de manhã a tua benignidade, E todas as noites a tua fidelidade,3 Com um instrumento de dez cordas, com o saltério E com a música solene da harpa.4 Pois me alegraste, Jeová, pelos teus feitos, Exultarei nas obras das tuas mãos.5 Quão grandes são as tuas obras, Jeová! Profundíssimos são os teus pensamentos.6 O homem estúpido não sabe, Nem o néscio compreende isto:7 Quando brotarem, como erva, os perversos, E florescerem os que obram a iniqüidade, É que serão destruídos para sempre.8 Tu, porém, Jeová, estás nas alturas para todo o sempre.9 Pois eis que os teus inimigos, Jeová, Pois eis que os teus inimigos perecerão; Serão dispersos todos os que obram iniqüidade.10 Mas exaltaste o meu poder como o dum boi selvagem; Estou ungido com óleo fresco.11 Os meus olhos também já viram o que é feito dos que me espreitam, Os meus ouvidos já ouviram o que sucederá aos malfeitores que se levantam contra mim.12 O justo florescerá como a palmeira, Crescerá como o cedro no Líbano.13 Os que são plantados na casa de Jeová, Florescerão nos átrios do nosso Deus.14 Na velhice ainda darão frutos, Serão cheios de seiva e de verdura,15 Para mostrarem que Jeová é reto. Ele é a minha rocha, e nele não há injustiça.
