Ezequiel 45

1 "‘"Moreover, when you divide by lot the land for inheritance, you shall offer an offering to Yahweh, a holy portion of the land. The length shall be the length of twenty-five thousand reeds, and the width shall be ten thousand. It shall be holy in all its border all around. 2 Of this there shall be a five hundred by five hundred square for the holy place, and fifty cubits*45:2 A cubit is the length from the tip of the middle finger to the elbow on a man’s arm, or about 18 inches or 46 centimeters. for its pasture lands all around. 3 Of this measure you shall measure a length of twenty-five thousand, and a width of ten thousand. In it shall be the sanctuary, which is most holy. 4 It is a holy portion of the land; it shall be for the priests, the ministers of the sanctuary, who come near to minister to Yahweh. It shall be a place for their houses and a holy place for the sanctuary. 5 Twenty-five thousand cubits in length and ten thousand in width shall be for the Levites, the ministers of the house, as a possession for themselves, for twenty rooms.

6 "‘"You shall appoint the possession of the city five thousand cubits wide and twenty-five thousand long, side by side with the offering of the holy portion. It shall be for the whole house of Israel.

7 "‘"What is for the prince shall be on the one side and on the other side of the holy allotment and of the possession of the city, in front of the holy allotment and in front of the possession of the city, on the west side westward, and on the east side eastward, and in length corresponding to one of the portions, from the west border to the east border. 8 In the land it shall be to him for a possession in Israel. My princes shall no more oppress my people, but they shall give the land to the house of Israel according to their tribes."

9 "‘The Lord Yahweh says: "Enough, you princes of Israel! Remove violence and plunder, and execute justice and righteousness! Stop dispossessing my people!" says the Lord Yahweh. 10 "You shall have just balances, a just ephah,*45:10 1 ephah is about 22 liters or about 2/3 of a bushel and a just bath. 11 The ephah and the bath shall be of one measure, that the bath may contain one tenth of a homer,*45:11 1 homer is about 220 liters or 6 bushels and the ephah one tenth of a homer. Its measure shall be the same as the homer. 12 The shekel*45:12 A shekel is about 10 grams or about 0.35 ounces. shall be twenty gerahs.*45:12 a gerah is about 0.5 grams or about 7.7 grains Twenty shekels plus twenty-five shekels plus fifteen shekels shall be your mina.*45:12 A mina is about 600 grams or 1.3 U. S. pounds.

13 "‘"This is the offering that you shall offer: the sixth part of an ephah from a homer of wheat, and you shall give the sixth part of an ephah from a homer of barley, 14 and the set portion of oil, of the bath of oil, one tenth of a bath out of the cor, which is ten baths, even a homer (for ten baths are a homer),*45:14 1 cor is the same as 1 homer in volume, and is about 211 liters, 55.9 gallons, or 6 bushels. 1 bath is about 21.1 liters, 5.59 gallons, or 2.4 pecks. 15 and one lamb of the flock out of two hundred, from the well-watered pastures of Israel—for a meal offering, for a burnt offering, and for peace offerings, to make atonement for them," says the Lord Yahweh. 16 "All the people of the land shall give to this offering for the prince in Israel. 17 It shall be the prince’s part to give the burnt offerings, the meal offerings, and the drink offerings, in the feasts, and on the new moons, and on the Sabbaths, in all the appointed feasts of the house of Israel. He shall prepare the sin offering, the meal offering, the burnt offering, and the peace offerings, to make atonement for the house of Israel."

18 "‘The Lord Yahweh says: "In the first month, on the first day of the month, you shall take a young bull without defect, and you shall cleanse the sanctuary. 19 The priest shall take of the blood of the sin offering and put it on the door posts of the house, and on the four corners of the ledge of the altar, and on the posts of the gate of the inner court. 20 So you shall do on the seventh day of the month for everyone who errs, and for him who is simple. So you shall make atonement for the house.

21 "‘"In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month, you shall have the Passover, a feast of seven days; unleavened bread shall be eaten. 22 On that day the prince shall prepare for himself and for all the people of the land a bull for a sin offering. 23 The seven days of the feast he shall prepare a burnt offering to Yahweh, seven bulls and seven rams without defect daily the seven days; and a male goat daily for a sin offering. 24 He shall prepare a meal offering, an ephah*45:24 1 ephah is about 22 liters or about 2/3 of a bushel for a bull, an ephah for a ram, and a hin*45:24 A hin is about 6.5 liters or 1.7 gallons. of oil to an ephah.

25 "‘"In the seventh month, on the fifteenth day of the month, during the feast, he shall do like that for seven days. He shall make the same provision for sin offering, the burnt offering, the meal offering, and the oil."

Denna del ska vara 25 000 alnar lång och 10 000 alnar bred*45:125 000 alnar lång och 10 000 alnar bredCa 12 x 5 km. och vara helig till hela sitt omfång runtom. 2 *Hes 42:20. Av denna ska man ta en liksidig fyrkant till helgedomen, 500 alnar i längd och 500 alnar i bredd, och till utmark runtom 50 alnar. 3 Av det heliga området ska du stycka av en del, 25 000 alnar i längd och 10 000 i bredd och där ska helgedomen, det allra heligaste, ligga. 4 *Hes 48:10f. Detta är en helig del av landet, och den ska tillhöra prästerna som gör tjänst i helgedomen, dem som får träda fram för att göra tjänst inför Herren. Detta ska vara en plats åt dem för deras hus, men också en helig plats för helgedomen. 5 *Hes 48:13. Och ett stycke, 25 000 alnar i längd och 10 000 i bredd, ska förutom 20 tempelkamrar tillhöra leviterna, som gör tjänst i templet, som deras egendom. 6 *Hes 48:15f. Åt staden ska ni ge ett område som är 5 000 alnar brett och 25 000 alnar långt och som gränsar till det heliga offergärdsområdet. Det ska tillhöra hela Israels hus.

7 *Hes 48:21. Fursten ska få ett område på båda sidor om det heliga offergärdsområdet och stadens egendom. Det ska gränsa till det heliga offergärds­området och stadens egendom, dels på västra sidan västerut, dels på östra sidan österut. I längd ska det motsvara en stamlotts utsträckning från västra gränsen till östra. 8 Detta ska vara hans egendom i Israel. Mina furstar ska då inte mer förtrycka mitt folk, utan de ska låta Israels hus få behålla sitt land såsom det fördelats till deras stammar.

9 *3 Mos 19:35f, Jer 22:3, Hes 44:6. Så säger Herren Gud: Nu får det vara nog, ni Israels furstar! Upphör med våld och förtryck och handla rätt och rättfärdigt. Driv inte längre mitt folk från hus och hem, säger Herren Gud. 10 *5 Mos 25:13f, Ords 16:11, Mika 6:10. Riktig*45:10Riktig vågOärliga köpmän fuskade med vikt och mått (Ords 20:10, Amos 8:5). Templet skulle därför övervaka måttens storlek (jfr 3 Mos 27:25, Ords 11:1). våg, riktigt efamått, riktigt batmått ska ni ha. 11 Efan och batmåttet ska hålla samma mått*45:11Efan och batmåttet ska hålla samma måttCa 22 liter (torra resp flytande varor)., så att batmåttet rymmer tiondelen av en homer liksom efan rymmer tiondelen av en homer, för efter homern ska man bestämma måtten. 12 *2 Mos 30:13, 3 Mos 27:25, 4 Mos 3:47. Sikeln ska innehålla tjugo gera. Tjugo siklar, tjugofem siklar och femton siklar*45:12Tjugo siklar, tjugofem siklar och femton siklarAlltså 60 siklar (drygt 600 gram). ska minan innehålla hos er.

Offer och heliga dagar

13 Detta är den offergåva ni ska ge: En sjättedels efa av var homer*45:13en sjättedels efa av var homerCa 3,5 liter av 220 liter, alltså en sextiondel. vete och en sjättedels efa av var homer korn, 14 dessutom den föreskrivna gåvan av olja, som mäts i bat: En tiondels bat av var kor – som är ett mått på tio bat och lika med en homer. Tio bat utgör en homer. 15 Dessutom ska ni av småboskapen från Israels vattenrika betesmarker ge ett djur på varje tvåhundratal till matoffer, brännoffer och gemenskapsoffer för att bringa försoning åt folket, säger Herren Gud.

16 Allt folket i landet måste ge denna offergåva åt fursten i Israel. 17 Men fursten måste bära fram brännoffer, matoffer och dryckesoffer på högtiderna, nymånaderna och sabbaterna, vid alla Israels högtidsdagar. Han ska skaffa fram syndoffer, matoffer, brännoffer och gemenskapsoffer för att bringa försoning åt Israels hus.

18 *3 Mos 16:16, 29f. Så säger Herren Gud: På första dagen i första månaden ska du ta en felfri ungtjur och rena helgedomen. 19 Prästen ska ta lite av syndoffrets blod och stryka på templets dörrposter och på altaravsatsens fyra hörn och på dörrposten till den inre förgårdens port. 20 *3 Mos 4:2f, 5:17f, Ps 19:13. Så ska du göra också på sjunde dagen i månaden, för den som av misstag eller av okunnighet har syndat. På detta sätt ska ni bringa försoning för templet.

21 *2 Mos 12:18f, 3 Mos 23:5f, 4 Mos 28:16f. På fjortonde dagen i första måna­den ska ni fira påskhögtid. I sju dagar ska ni hålla högtid, och ni ska då äta osyrat bröd. 22 *Hes 46:12. På den dagen ska fursten för sig själv och för allt folket i landet offra en tjur till syndoffer. 23 Men under högtidens sju dagar ska han varje dag som brännoffer åt Herren offra sju tjurar och sju baggar, alla felfria, och dagligen en bock som syndoffer. 24 *Hes 46:5, 7, 11. Som matoffer ska han offra en efa till varje tjur och en efa till varje bagge och en hin olja*45:24en hin oljaCa 3,5 liter. till varje efa. 25 *4 Mos 29:12f. På femtonde dagen i sjunde månaden och under högtidens sju dagar ska han bära fram likadana offer, likadana syndoffer, brännoffer och matoffer och lika mycket olja.
