Salmos 12

To the chief Musician. Upon Sheminith. A Psalm of David.

1 Save, Jehovah, for the godly man is gone; for the faithful have failed from among the children of men. 2 They speak falsehood every one with his neighbour: with flattering lip, with a double heart, do they speak. 3 Jehovah will cut off all flattering lips, the tongue that speaketh proud things, 4 Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail, our lips are our own: who is lord over us? 5 Because of the oppression of the afflicted, because of the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith Jehovah, I will set him in safety, at whom they puff. 6 The words of Jehovah are pure words, silver tried in the furnace of earth, purified seven times. 7 Thou, Jehovah, wilt keep them, thou wilt preserve them from this generation for ever. 8 The wicked walk about on every side, when vileness is exalted among the children of men.

1 SALVA, oh Jehová, porque ✝12.1 Is. 57.1. Mi. 7.2.se acabaron los misericordiosos:

Porque se han acabado los fieles de entre los hijos de los hombres.

2 Mentira habla cada uno con su prójimo;

✝ 12.2 Jer. 9.8. Ro. 16.18. Con labios lisonjeros, con corazón doble hablan.

3 Destruirá Jehová todos los labios lisonjeros,

La lengua que habla grandezas,

4 Que dijeron: Por nuestra lengua prevaleceremos;

Nuestros labios están con nosotros: ¿quién nos es señor?

1 David pide el socorro de Dios.

2 Corrupción del hombre.

5 Por la opresión de los pobres, por el gemido de los menesterosos,

Pondrélos en salvo del que contra ellos se engríe.

Plata refinada en horno de tierra,

Purificada siete veces.

7 Tú, Jehová, los guardarás;

Guárdalos para siempre de aquesta generación.

8 Cercando andan los malos,

Mientras son exaltados los más viles de los hijos de los hombres.
