Salmos 52

To the chief Musician: an instruction. Of David; when Doeg the Edomite came and told Saul, and said unto him, David came to the house of Ahimelech.

1 Why boastest thou thyself in evil, thou mighty man? The loving-kindness of ·God*GodHebrew: Elabideth continually. 2 Thy tongue deviseth mischievous things, like a sharp razor, practising deceit. 3 Thou hast loved evil rather than good, lying rather than to speak righteousness. Selah. 4 Thou hast loved all devouring words, O deceitful tongue! 5 ·God*GodHebrew: El shall likewise destroy thee for ever; he shall take thee away, and pluck thee out of thy tent, and root thee out of the land of the living. Selah.

6 The righteous also shall see, and fear, and shall laugh at him, saying,7 Behold the man that made not God*GodHebrew: Elohim his strength, but put confidence in the abundance of his riches, and strengthened himself in his avarice. 8 But as for me, I am like a green olive-tree in the house of God*GodHebrew: Elohim I will confide in the loving-kindness of God*GodHebrew: Elohim for ever and ever. 9 I will praise thee for ever, because thou hast done it; and I will wait on thy name, before thy godly ones, for it is good.

1 ¿POR qué te glorías de maldad, oh ✝52.1 1 S. 21.7.poderoso?

La misericordia de Dios es continua.

2 ✝ 52.2 Sal. 50.19. Agravios maquina tu lengua:

Como ✝52.2 Sal. 57.4.navaja amolada hace engaño.

3 Amaste el mal más que el bien;

✝ 52.3 Jer. 9.4,5. La mentira más que hablar justicia. (Selah.)

4 Has amado toda suerte de palabras perniciosas,

Engañosa lengua.

1 Corrupción del hombre.

2 David y sus enemigos.

5 Por tanto Dios te derribará para siempre:

Te asolará y te arrancará de tu morada,

Y ✝52.5 Pr. 2.22.te desarraigará de la ✝52.5 Sal. 27.13.tierra de los vivientes. (Selah.)

6 ✝ 52.6 Job 22.19. Sal. 37.34 y 64.8,9. Mal. 1.5. Y verán los justos, y temerán;

7 He aquí el hombre que no puso á Dios por su fortaleza,

En la misericordia de Dios confío perpetua y eternalmente.

9 Te alabaré para siempre por lo que has hecho:

Y esperaré en tu nombre, ✝52.9 Sal. 54.6.porque es bueno, delante de ✝52.9 Sal. 50.5.tus santos.
