The Lord Surrounds His People

A Song of #[See Ps. 120, title]Ascents.

1 Those who *Ps. 25:2,3trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion,

which *Ps. 93:1;104:5;[Prov. 10:30]cannot be moved, but abides forever.

2 As the mountains surround Jerusalem,

so *[2 Kgs. 6:17;Zech. 2:5]the Lord surrounds his people,

from this time forth and forevermore.

3 For *Isa. 14:5the scepter of wickedness shall not *Isa. 30:30rest

on *See Ps. 16:5the land allotted to the righteous,

lest the righteous *Gen. 3:22;Ex. 22:8stretch out

their hands to do wrong.

4 *Ps. 119:68Do good, O Lord, to those who are good,

and to those who are *See Ps. 7:10upright in their hearts!

5 But those who *See Ps. 40:4turn aside to their *Prov. 2:15crooked ways

the Lord will lead away with *Ps. 92:7,9;94:4evildoers!
