4 *[Ps. 26:8;84:1,2] One thing have I asked of the Lord,

that will I seek after:

that I may *Ps. 23:6;65:4;[Luke 2:37] dwell in the house of the Lord

all the days of my life,

to gaze upon *Ps. 90:17the beauty of the Lord

and to inquire*27:4 Or meditate in his temple.

5 For he will *Ps. 31:20;[Ps. 91:1;Job 5:21;Isa. 4:6] hide me in his shelter

in the day of trouble;

he will conceal me under the cover of his tent;

he will *Ps. 40:2lift me high upon a rock.
