1 IO amo il Signore; perciocchè egli ascolta La mia voce, e le mie supplicazioni.
2 Poichè egli ha inchinato a me il suo orecchio, Io lo invocherò tutti i giorni della mia vita.
3 I legami della morte mi avevano circondato, E le distrette del sepolcro mi avevano colto; Io aveva scontrata angoscia e cordoglio.
4 Ma io invocai il Nome del Signore, Dicendo: Deh! Signore, libera l’anima mia.
5 Il Signore è pietoso e giusto; E il nostro Dio è misericordioso.
6 Il Signore guarda i semplici; Io era ridotto in misero stato, Ed egli mi ha salvato.
7 Ritorna, anima mia, al tuo riposo; Perciocchè il Signore ti ha fatta la tua retribuzione.
8 Poichè, o Signore, tu hai ritratta l’anima mia da morte, Gli occhi miei da lagrime, I miei piedi da caduta;
9 Io camminerò nel tuo cospetto Nella terra de’ viventi
10 Io ho creduto, e però certo io parlerò. Io era grandemente afflitto;
11 Io diceva nel mio smarrimento: Ogni uomo è bugiardo.
12 Che renderò io al Signore? Tutti i suoi beneficii son sopra me.
13 Io prenderò il calice delle salvazioni, E predicherò il Nome del Signore.
14 Io pagherò i miei voti al Signore, Ora in presenza di tutto il suo popolo.
15 La morte de’ santi del Signore È preziosa nel suo cospetto.
16 Deh! Signore, esaudiscimi; perciocchè io son tuo servitore; Io son tuo servitore, figliuolo della tua servente; Tu hai sciolti i miei legami.
17 Io ti sacrificherò sacrificio di lode, E predicherò il Nome del Signore.
18 Io pagherò i miei voti al Signore, Ora in presenza di tutto il suo popolo;
19 Ne’ cortili della Casa del Signore, In mezzo di te, o Gerusalemme. Alleluia
1 I love Jehovah, for he hath heard my voice {and} my supplications;
2 For he hath inclined his ear unto me, and I will call upon him during {all} my days.
3 The bands of death encompassed me, and the anguish of Sheol took hold of me; I found trouble and sorrow:
4 Then called I upon the name of Jehovah: I beseech thee, Jehovah, deliver my soul.
5 Gracious is Jehovah and righteous; and our God is merciful.
6 Jehovah keepeth the simple: I was brought low, and he saved me.
7 Return unto thy rest, O my soul; for Jehovah hath dealt bountifully with thee.
8 For thou hast delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, my feet from falling.
9 I will walk before Jehovah in the land of the living.
10 I believed, therefore have I spoken. As for me, I was greatly afflicted.
11 I said in my haste, All men are liars.
12 What shall I render unto Jehovah, {for} all his benefits toward me?
13 I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of Jehovah.
14 I will perform my vows unto Jehovah, yea, before all his people.
15 Precious in the sight of Jehovah is the death of his saints.
16 Yea, Jehovah! for I am thy servant; I am thy servant, the son of thy handmaid: thou hast loosed my bonds.
17 I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of Jehovah.
18 I will perform my vows unto Jehovah, yea, before all his people,
19 In the courts of Jehovah's house, in the midst of thee, O Jerusalem. Hallelujah!
