1 Salmo di Davide, da rammemorare; dato al capo de’ Musici O DIO, affrettati a liberarmi; O Signore, affrettati in mio aiuto.

2 Quelli che cercano l’anima mia sien confusi e svergognati; Quelli che prendono piacere nel mio male voltin le spalle, E sieno svergognati.

3 Quelli che dicono: Eia, eia! Voltin le spalle, per ricompensa del vituperio che mi fanno.

4 Rallegrinsi, e gioiscano in te Tutti quelli che ti cercano; E quelli che amano la tua salute Dicano del continuo: Magnificato sia Iddio.

5 Ora, quant’è a me, io son povero e bisognoso; O Dio, affrettati a venire a me; Tu sei il mio aiuto, ed il mio liberatore; O Signore, non tardare

1 [To the chief Musician. {A Psalm} of David: to bring to remembrance.] Make haste, O God, to deliver me; Jehovah, {hasten} to my help.

2 Let them be ashamed and brought to confusion that seek after my soul; let them be turned backward and confounded that take pleasure in mine adversity;

3 Let them turn back because of their shame that say, Aha! Aha!

4 Let all those that seek thee be glad and rejoice in thee, and let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified!

5 But I am afflicted and needy: make haste unto me, O God. Thou art my help and my deliverer: O Jehovah, make no delay.
