The Faithful Have Vanished

1 Save, O Lord, for Isa. 57:1;Mic. 7:2the godly one is gone;

for the faithful have vanished from among the children of man.

2 Everyone Ps. 41:6;144:8utters lies to his neighbor;

with Ps. 5:9;Jer. 9:8;Rom. 16:18flattering lips and 1 Chr. 12:33;James 1:8a double heart they speak.

3 May the Lord cut off all [See ver. 2above] flattering lips,

the tongue that makes Dan. 7:8;Rev. 13:5;[Ps. 17:10]great boasts,

4 those who say, "With our tongue we will prevail,

our lips are with us; who is master over us?"

5 "Because Ps. 9:12the poor are plundered, because the needy groan,

Isa. 33:10;[Ps. 82:8] I will now arise," says the Lord;

"I will place him in the See Ps. 55:18safety for which he longs."

6 Ps. 18:30;119:140;Prov. 30:5;[Ps. 19:8]The words of the Lord are pure words,

like silver refined in a furnace on the ground,

purified seven times.

7 You, O Lord, will keep them;

8 On every side the wicked prowl,

as vileness is exalted among the children of man.
