15 Por isso, bebe a água da tua própria cisterna.

16 Porque haveria o teu amor de derramar-se por mulheres da rua?

17 Sejam estes mananciais para ti, somente,

e não os repartas com outros!

18 Que a tua fonte seja bendita!

Sê feliz com a mulher que escolheste na tua juventude!

19 Bela, aos teus olhos, como uma linda gazela, como uma corça graciosa;

que te satisfaças todo o tempo no seu seio

e que só o seu amor te deleite!

20 Porque te deixarias atrair, meu filho, por outras mulheres, que não a tua?

Porque abraçarias tu uma mulher que te é estranha?

21 Deus observa atentamente a tua conduta,

examina cuidadosamente tudo o que fazes.

22 Quem faz o mal ficará cativo da sua própria maldade;

será acorrentado pelo seu pecado.

23 Morrerá porque preferiu viver sem correção;

todos os seus erros se explicam pela sua loucura.
