1 Daavidin psalmi. Herran on maa ja kaikki mitä siinä on, maanpiiri ja ne jotka siinä asuvat.

2 Hän on sen perustanut merien päälle, kiinnittänyt lujasti virtojen ylle.

3 Kuka saa nousta Herran vuorelle, kuka astua pyhään paikkaan?

4 Se, jolla on viattomat kädet ja puhdas sydän, joka ei valheellisesti vetoa Herraan eikä vanno väärää valaa.

5 Hänelle Herra suo siunauksensa, pelastuksen Jumala katsoo hänet vanhurskaaksi.

6 Tässä me olemme, kansa joka pyrkii luoksesi, joka etsii kasvojasi, Jaakobin Jumala! (sela)

7 Kohotkaa korkeiksi, portit, avartukaa, ikiaikaiset ovet! Kirkkauden kuningas tulee.

8 Kuka on kirkkauden kuningas? Hän on Herra, väkevä ja voimallinen. Hän on Herra, voiton sankari.

2 For it was he that founded it upon seas, and established it upon floods.

3 Who shall ascend into the mount of Jehovah? and who shall stand in his holy place?

4 He that hath blameless hands and a pure heart; who lifteth not up his soul unto vanity, nor sweareth deceitfully:

5 He shall receive blessing from Jehovah, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

7 Lift up your heads, ye gates, and be ye lifted up, ye everlasting doors, and the King of glory shall come in.

8 Who is this King of glory? Jehovah strong and mighty, Jehovah mighty in battle.
