1 For Zion’s sake I will not hold my peace,
and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest,
until her righteousness shines out like the dawn,
and her salvation like a burning lamp.
2 The nations will see your righteousness,
and all kings your glory.
You will be called by a new name,
which Yahweh’s mouth will name.
3 You will also be a crown of beauty in Yahweh’s hand,
and a royal diadem in your God’s hand.
4 You will not be called Forsaken any more,
nor will your land be called Desolate any more;
but you will be called Hephzibah,62:4 Hephzibah means "I delight in her".
and your land Beulah;62:4 Beulah means "married"
for Yahweh delights in you,
and your land will be married.
5 For as a young man marries a virgin,
so your sons will marry you.
As a bridegroom rejoices over his bride,
so your God will rejoice over you.
6 I have set watchmen on your walls, Jerusalem.
They will never be silent day nor night.
You who call on Yahweh, take no rest,
7 and give him no rest until he establishes,
and until he makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.
8 Yahweh has sworn by his right hand,
and by the arm of his strength,
"Surely I will no more give your grain to be food for your enemies,
and foreigners will not drink your new wine, for which you have labored,
9 but those who have harvested it will eat it, and praise Yahweh.
Those who have gathered it will drink it in the courts of my sanctuary."
10 Go through, go through the gates!
Prepare the way of the people!
Build up, build up the highway!
Gather out the stones!
Lift up a banner for the peoples.
11 Behold, Yahweh has proclaimed to the end of the earth:
"Say to the daughter of Zion,
‘Behold, your salvation comes!
Behold, his reward is with him,
and his recompense before him!’"
12 They will call them "The Holy People,
Yahweh’s Redeemed".
You will be called "Sought Out,
A City Not Forsaken".

Te Whakatikatika me te Whakaoranga o Hiona
1 He whakaaro ki Hiona i kore ai ahau e noho hū,
he whakaaro ki Hiruhārama tē āta noho ai ahau,
kia puta rā anō tōna tika ānō he tīahotanga,
tōna whakaoranga ānō he rama e kā ana.
2 Ā, ka kite ngā tauiwi i tōu tika,
ngā kīngi katoa i tōu korōria;
ā, he ingoa hou e whakahuatia ki a koe,
he mea whakahua nā te māngai o Ihowā.
3 Hei karauna ātaahua anō koe i te ringa o Ihowā,
hei pōtae kīngi i te ringa o tōu Atua.
4 E kore koe e kīia ā muri ake nei, He Mea Whakarere;
heoi anō kīanga o tōu whenua, He Ururua;
engari ka huaina koe, ko Hepetipa;
tōu whenua, ko Peura;
nō te mea ka āhuareka a Ihowā ki a koe,
ā, ka whai tahu tōu whenua.
5 Kei te mārenatanga hoki o te taitamariki ki te wāhina
te rite o te mārenatanga o āu tamariki ki a koe;
kei te koa hoki o te tāne mārena hou ki te wahine mārena hou
te rite o te koa o tōu Atua ki a koe.
6 Kua oti he kaitiaki te whakarite e ahau ki ōu taiepa, e Hiruhārama;
e kore e kopia te māngai i te ao, i te pō.
E ngā kaiwhakahua o tō Ihowā ingoa,
kei āta noho,
7 kaua hoki e whakamutua tā koutou ki a ia,
kia whakapūmautia rā anō a Hiruhārama e ia,
kia meinga rā anō hei whakamoemiti i runga i te whenua.
8 Kua oatitia e Ihowā tōna ringa matau,
tōna tākakau kaha:
"E kore e hoatu e ahau tāu wīti ā muri
hei kai mā ōu hoariri;
e kore anō ngā tāngata kē e inu i tāu wāina
i māuiui ai koe;
9 engari, ko ngā tāngata nāna i whawhaki mā rātou e kai,
whakamoemiti tonu atu ki a Ihowā;
ā, ko ngā tāngata nāna i kohikohi mai,
ka inumia e rātou ki ngā marae o tōku wāhi tapu."
10 Tika atu, tika atu mā ngā kūwaha;
whakapaia te ara o te iwi;
opehia ake, opehia ake te huanui;
kohikohia atu ngā kāmaka,
whakaarahia he kara ki ngā iwi.
11 Nanā, kua kōrero a Ihowā
ki te pito o te whenua:
"Mea atu ki te tamāhine a Hiona,
‘Nanā, ko tōu whakaoranga te haere mai nei!
Nanā, kei a ia tōna utu,
kei tōna aroaro anō tāna mahi.’ "
12 Ā, ka huaina rātou, Ko te Iwi Tapu,
Ko tā Ihowā i Hoko ai;
ka huaina anō hoki koe, He Mea i Rapua,
He Pā Kāhore i Mahue.
