1 "Hey! Come, everyone who thirsts, to the waters!
Come, he who has no money, buy, and eat!
Yes, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.
2 Why do you spend money for that which is not bread,
and your labor for that which doesn’t satisfy?
Listen diligently to me, and eat that which is good,
and let your soul delight itself in richness.
3 Turn your ear, and come to me.
Hear, and your soul will live.
I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.
4 Behold, I have given him for a witness to the peoples,
a leader and commander to the peoples.
5 Behold, you shall call a nation that you don’t know;
and a nation that didn’t know you shall run to you,
because of Yahweh your God,
and for the Holy One of Israel;
for he has glorified you."
6 Seek Yahweh while he may be found.
Call on him while he is near.
7 Let the wicked forsake his way,
and the unrighteous man his thoughts.
Let him return to Yahweh, and he will have mercy on him,
to our God, for he will freely pardon.
8 "For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
and your ways are not my ways," says Yahweh.
9 "For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways,
and my thoughts than your thoughts.
10 For as the rain comes down and the snow from the sky,
and doesn’t return there, but waters the earth,
and makes it grow and bud,
and gives seed to the sower and bread to the eater;
11 so is my word that goes out of my mouth:
it will not return to me void,
but it will accomplish that which I please,
and it will prosper in the thing I sent it to do.
12 For you shall go out with joy,
and be led out with peace.
The mountains and the hills will break out before you into singing;
and all the trees of the fields will clap their hands.
13 Instead of the thorn the cypress tree will come up;
and instead of the brier the myrtle tree will come up.
It will make a name for Yahweh,
for an everlasting sign that will not be cut off."

He Pōwhiri ki te Oranga Makuru
1 "Ē! E ngā tāngata katoa e matewai ana,
haere mai ki ngā wai;
me te tangata kāhore āna moni;
haere mai, hokona, kainga!
Haere mai, hokona he wāina, he waiū;
kaua he moni, kaua he utu.
2 He aha rā i hokona ai e koutou te moni mō ngā mea ehara i te taro,
tō koutou uaua mō ngā mea e kore ai koutou e mākona?
Āta whakarongo mai ki ahau, ā, kainga te mea pai;
kia ora hoki ō koutou wairua i ngā mea mōmona.
3 Tahuri mai ō koutou taringa, haere mai ki ahau;
whakarongo mai, ā, ka ora ō koutou wairua.
Ā, māku e whakarite ki a koutou he kawenata mau tonu,
arā ngā atawhainga pono i a Rāwiri.
4 Nanā, kua waiho ia e ahau hei kaiwhakaatu ki ngā iwi,
hei rangatira, hei kaiwhakahau mō ngā tauiwi.
5 Nanā, ka karanga koe i te iwi kīhai i mōhiotia e koe;
ka rere mai anō ki a koe ngā iwi kāhore i mōhio ki a koe;
mō Ihowā hoki, mō tōu Atua, mō te Mea Tapu o Īharaira;
nāna hoki koe i whakanui.
6 Rapua a Ihowā, kei kitea ana ia,
karangatia atu, kei tata ana mai ia;
7 kia whakarere te tangata kino i tōna ara,
te tangata mahi hē i ōna whakaaro;
kia hoki ki a Ihowā, ā, ka aroha ia ki a ia;
ki tō tātou Atua hoki he nui rawa hoki tāna mahi tohu.
8 "Ehara hoki ōku whakaaro i ō koutou whakaaro,
ō koutou huarahi i ōku huarahi,"
e ai tā Ihowā.
9 "Tā te mea e ikeike ake ana te rangi i te whenua,
waihoki ko ōku huarahi e ikeike ake ana i ō koutou huarahi,
ko ōku whakaaro i ō koutou whakaaro.
10 Ka rite hoki ki te ua rāua ko te hukarere
e rere iho ana i te rangi,
ā, e kore e hoki ki reira;
engari e whakamākūkū ana i te whenua,
e mea ana kia whai hua, kia pihi ake,
kia hōmai anō he purapura mā te kaiwhakatō,
he taro mā te tangata e kai ana;
11 ka pēnā anō tāku kupu e puta ana i tōku māngai;
e kore e hoki kau mai ki ahau;
engari ka meatia tāku i pai ai,
ka taea hoki tāku i unga atu ai.
12 Tā te mea ka haere atu koutou me te hari anō,
ka ārahina i runga i te rangimārie;
ka pakaru mai te waiata a ngā maunga,
a ngā pukepuke, i tō koutou aroaro,
ā, ka papaki ringa ngā rākau katoa o te whenua.
13 He tātarāmoa i mua, ka puta ake he kauri;
he tūmatakuru i mua, ka puta ake he ramarama;
ā, ka waiho hei ingoa ki a Ihowā,
hei tohu mō ā mua tonu atu,
e kore e motuhia."
