Psalms 46

1 God is our refuge and strength,

a very present help in trouble.

2 Therefore we won’t be afraid, though the earth changes,

though the mountains are shaken into the heart of the seas;

3 though its waters roar and are troubled,

though the mountains tremble with their swelling. Selah.

4 There is a river, the streams of which make the city of God glad,

the holy place of the tents of the Most High.

5 God is within her. She shall not be moved.

God will help her at dawn.

6 The nations raged. The kingdoms were moved.

He lifted his voice and the earth melted.

7 Yahweh of Armies is with us.

The God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.

8 Come, see Yahweh’s works,

what desolations he has made in the earth.

9 He makes wars cease to the end of the earth.

He breaks the bow, and shatters the spear.

He burns the chariots in the fire.

10 "Be still, and know that I am God.

I will be exalted among the nations.

I will be exalted in the earth."

11 Yahweh of Armies is with us.

1 Dumnezeu este adăpostul*Ps. 62:7,8;91:2;142:5. și sprijinul nostru,

un ajutor*Deut. 4:7.Ps. 145:18. care nu lipsește niciodată în nevoi.

2 De aceea nu ne temem chiar dacă s-ar zgudui pământul

și s-ar clătina munții în inima mărilor,

3 chiar*Ps. 93:3,4.Ier. 5:22.Mat. 7:25. dacă ar urla și ar spumega valurile mării

și s-ar ridica până acolo de să se cutremure munții. (Oprire)

4 Este un râu*Is. 8:7. ale cărui izvoare înveselesc cetatea*Ps. 48:1,8.Is. 60:14. lui Dumnezeu,

sfântul locaș al locuințelor Celui Preaînalt.

5 Dumnezeu este în*Deut. 23:14.Is. 12:6.Ezec. 43:7,9.Osea 11:9.Ioel 2:27.Ţef. 3:15.Zah. 2:5,10,11;8:3. mijlocul ei: ea nu se clatină;

Dumnezeu o ajută în revărsatul zorilor.

6 Neamurile*Ps. 2:1. se frământă, împărățiile se clatină,

dar glasul Lui răsună, și pământul*Ios. 2:9,24. se topește de groază.

7 Domnul*Vers. 11.Num. 14:9.2 Cron. 13:12. oștirilor este cu noi,

Dumnezeul lui Iacov este un turn de scăpare pentru noi. (Oprire)

8 Veniți*Ps. 66:5. și priviți lucrările Domnului,

pustiirile pe care le-a făcut El pe pământ.

9 El*Is. 2:4. a pus capăt războaielor până la marginea pământului;

El a sfărâmat*Ps. 76:3. arcul și a rupt sulița, a ars cu*Ezec. 39:9. foc carele de război.

10 „Opriți-vă și să știți că Eu sunt Dumnezeu:

Eu stăpânesc*Is. 2:11,17. peste neamuri,

Eu stăpânesc pe pământ."

11 Domnul*Vers. 7. oștirilor este cu noi.
