A Song.] His foundation is in the mountains of holiness.2 Jehovah loveth the gates of Zion more than all the habitations of Jacob.3 Glorious things are spoken of thee, O city of God. Selah.4 I will make mention of Rahab and Babylon among them that know me; behold Philistia, and Tyre, with Ethiopia: this {man} was born there.5 And of Zion it shall be said, This one and that one was born in her; and the Most High himself shall establish her.6 Jehovah will count, when he inscribeth the peoples, This {man} was born there. Sionul are temeliile aşezate pe munţii cei sfinţi:2 Domnul iubeşte porţile Sionului mai mult decît toate locaşurile lui Iacov.3 Lucruri pline de slavă au fost spuse despre tine, cetate a lui Dumnezeu! -4 Eu pomenesc Egiptul şi Babilonul printre cei ce Mă cunosc; iată, ţara Filistenilor, Tirul, cu Etiopia: ,,în Sion s'au născut.`` -5 Iar despre Sion este zis: ,,Toţi s'au născut în el,`` şi Cel Prea Înalt îl întăreşte.6 Domnul numără popoarele, scriindu-le: ,,Acolo s'au născut.`` -7 Şi cei ce cîntă şi ceice joacă strigă: ,,Toate izvoarele mele sînt în Tine.``
