Quadro profético do cerco de Jerusalém

1 *Is 13.1A sentença acerca do *Sl 125.2;Jr 21.13;Jl 3.12,14vale da Visão.

Que tens agora, pois, com todos os teus, subiste aos *Is 15.3telhados? 2 Ó tu que estás cheia de clamor, cidade turbulenta, *Is 23.7;32.13cidade alegre; os teus mortos *Jr 14.18;Lm 2.20não são mortos à espada, nem mortos em guerra. 3 *Is 21.15Todos os teus principais homens, à uma, fugiram e, abandonados os seus arcos, deixaram-se ficar presos. Todos os que se acharam em ti foram presos juntamente; eles estavam fugindo para longe. 4 Portanto, disse eu: Virai de mim a vista, *Is 15.3;Jr 4.19;9.1;Mq 1.8;Lc 19.41para que eu chore amargamente; não vos esforceis por me consolar sobre a destruição da filha do meu povo.

5 Pois é *Is 37.3um dia de destroço, *Is 10.6;63.3de atropelamento e de perplexidade *Lm 1.5;2.2da parte de Jeová dos Exércitos *Is 22.1no vale da Visão: derrubamento de muros e gritos aos montes. 6 *Is 21.2;Jr 49.35Elão tomou a aljava, juntamente com tropas de homens e de cavaleiros, *2Rs 16.9;Am 1.5;9.7e Quir descobriu o escudo. 7 Os teus vales escolhidos ficaram *2Cr 32.1cheios de tropas, e os cavaleiros postaram-se em direção da porta. 8 Foi tirada *Is 22.8-11;2Cr 32.3-5,30a coberta de Judá, e, naquele dia, olhaste para as armas *1Rs 7.2;10.17na Casa do Bosque. 9 Vistes que as brechas da Cidade de Davi eram muitas *Ne 3.16e ajuntastes as águas da piscina de baixo. 10 Contastes as casas de Jerusalém e as demolistes, para fortificar a muralha. 11 Também fizestes um reservatório *2Rs 25.4;Jr 39.4entre os dois muros para a água *2Rs 20.20;2Cr 32.3-4da piscina velha. Porém não *Is 5.12;37.26olhastes para aquele que isso tinha feito, nem tivestes respeito ao que o formou de longe.

12 O Senhor, Jeová dos Exércitos, chamou naquele dia *Is 32.11;Jl 1.13;2.17para chorar e prantear, *Is 15.2;Mq 1.16para rapar a cabeça e cingir o saco; 13 porém só se vê *Is 5.11,22;28.7-8;Lc 17.26-29gozo e alegria, matar bois, degolar ovelhas, comer carne e beber vinho; *Is 56.12;1Co 15.32comamos e bebamos, porque amanhã morreremos. 14 Jeová dos Exércitos revelou-se *Is 5.9aos meus ouvidos, dizendo: *Is 13.11;26.21;30.13-14;65.7Não se vos perdoará por certo esta iniquidade *Is 65.20até que morrais, diz o Senhor, Jeová dos Exércitos.

Sebna é degradado. Eliaquim é exaltado

15 Assim diz o Senhor, Jeová dos Exércitos: Vai, entra a falar com esse administrador, com *Is 36.3,11,22;37.2;2Rs 18.18,26,37Sebna, o mordomo, e pergunta-lhe: 16 Que fazes tu aqui? Que parente tens tu aqui, *2Sm 18.18;2Cr 16.14;Mt 27.60para lavrares aqui um sepulcro, lavrando em lugar alto o seu sepulcro, gravando na penha a sua morada? 17 Eis que Jeová te atirará violentamente, dobrar-te-á inteiramente. 18 Ele te enrolará como uma bola e te *Is 17.13;Jó 18.18atirará para um país espaçoso. Ali, morrerás, e para ali irão os carros da tua glória, ó opróbrio da casa do teu senhor. 19 Eu *Jó 40.11-12;Ez 17.24te deitarei fora do teu posto, e serás derribado do teu estado. 20 Naquele dia, chamarei o teu servo *Is 36.3,22;37.2;2Rs 18.18Eliaquim, filho de Hilquias; 21 vesti-lo-ei da tua túnica, cingi-lo-ei com o teu cinto e entregarei nas suas mãos o teu governo; e ele será como *Gn 45.8pai para os habitantes de Jerusalém e para a casa de Judá. 22 Porei sobre o seu ombro *Ap 3.7a chave da *Is 7.2,13casa de Davi; ele abrirá, e ninguém fechará; fechará, e ninguém *Jó 12.14abrirá. 23 Fincá-lo-ei como uma *Ed 9.8;Zc 10.4estaca num lugar firme, e ele será como um *1Sm 2.8;Jó 36.7trono de glória para a casa de seu pai. 24 Nele, pendurarão toda a glória da casa de seu pai, a prole e a progênie, todos os pequenos vasos, desde os vasos de taças até os vasos de odres. 25 Naquele dia, diz Jeová dos Exércitos, cederá *Is 22.23a estaca que foi fincada num lugar firme, será *Et 9.24-25cortada e cairá; e será exterminada, e a carga que dela estava pendente, porque *Is 46.11;Mq 4.4Jeová o disse.

1 The burden of the valley of vision.

What ails you now, that you have all gone up to the housetops? 2 You that are full of shouting, a tumultuous city, a joyous town, your slain are not slain with the sword, neither are they dead in battle. 3 All your rulers fled away together. They were bound by the archers. All who were found by you were bound together. They fled far away. 4 Therefore I said, "Look away from me. I will weep bitterly. Don’t labor to comfort me for the destruction of the daughter of my people.

5 For it is a day of confusion, and of treading down, and of perplexity from the Lord, Yahweh of Armies, in the valley of vision, a breaking down of the walls, and a crying to the mountains." 6 Elam carried his quiver, with chariots of men and horsemen; and Kir uncovered the shield. 7 Your choicest valleys were full of chariots, and the horsemen set themselves in array at the gate. 8 He took away the covering of Judah; and you looked in that day to the armor in the house of the forest. 9 You saw the breaches of David’s city, that they were many; and you gathered together the waters of the lower pool. 10 You counted the houses of Jerusalem, and you broke down the houses to fortify the wall. 11 You also made a reservoir between the two walls for the water of the old pool. But you didn’t look to him who had done this, neither did you have respect for him who planned it long ago.

12 In that day, the Lord, Yahweh of Armies, called to weeping, to mourning, to baldness, and to dressing in sackcloth; 13 and behold, there is joy and gladness, killing cattle and killing sheep, eating meat and drinking wine: "Let’s eat and drink, for tomorrow we will die." 14 Yahweh of Armies revealed himself in my ears, "Surely this iniquity will not be forgiven you until you die," says the Lord, Yahweh of Armies.

15 The Lord, Yahweh of Armies says, "Go, get yourself to this treasurer, even to Shebna, who is over the house, and say, 16 ‘What are you doing here? Who has you here, that you have dug out a tomb here?’ Cutting himself out a tomb on high, chiseling a habitation for himself in the rock!" 17 Behold, Yahweh will overcome you and hurl you away violently. Yes, he will grasp you firmly. 18 He will surely wind you around and around, and throw you like a ball into a large country. There you will die, and there the chariots of your glory will be, you disgrace of your lord’s house. 19 I will thrust you from your office. You will be pulled down from your station.

20 It will happen in that day that I will call my servant Eliakim the son of Hilkiah, 21 and I will clothe him with your robe, and strengthen him with your belt. I will commit your government into his hand; and he will be a father to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and to the house of Judah. 22 I will lay the key of David’s house on his shoulder. He will open, and no one will shut. He will shut, and no one will open. 23 I will fasten him like a nail in a sure place. He will be for a throne of glory to his father’s house. 24 They will hang on him all the glory of his father’s house, the offspring and the issue, every small vessel, from the cups even to all the pitchers. 25 "In that day," says Yahweh of Armies, "the nail that was fastened in a sure place will give way. It will be cut down and fall. The burden that was on it will be cut off, for Yahweh has spoken it."
