1 A Song of Ascents. Those who trust in Yahweh Are as mount Zion, which can't be moved, but remains forever.2 As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, So Yahweh is round about his people From this time forth and forevermore.3 For the scepter of wickedness will not rest on the lot of the righteous; That the righteous don't put forth their hands to iniquity.4 Do good, O Yahweh, to those who are good, And to those who are upright in their hearts.5 But as for such as turn aside to their crooked ways, Yahweh will lead them forth with the workers of iniquity. Peace be on Israel.

1 Os que confiam no Senhor são como o monte Sião, que não se pode abalar, mas permanece para sempre.2 Como os montes cercam Jerusalém, assim o Senhor protege o seu povo, desde agora e para sempre.3 O cetro dos ímpios não prevalecerá sobre a terra dada aos justos, se assim fosse, até os justos praticariam a injustiça.  4 Senhor, trata com bondade aos que fazem o bem, aos que têm coração íntegro.5 Mas aos que se desviam por caminhos tortuosos, o Senhor dará o castigo dos malfeitores. Haja paz em Israel!
