1 In you, O Yahweh, I take refuge: Let me never be put to shame.2 Deliver me in your righteousness, and rescue me: Bow down your ear to me, and save me.3 Be to me a rock for my dwelling, to where I may continually resort: You have given commandment to save me; For you are my rock and my fortress.4 Rescue me, O my God, out of the hand of the wicked, Out of the hand of the unrighteous and cruel man.5 For you are my hope, O Sovereign Yahweh: [You are] my trust from my youth.6 By you I have been held up from the womb; You are he who took me out of my mother's bowels: My praise will be continually of you.7 I am as a wonder to many; But you are my strong refuge.8 My mouth will be filled with your praise, And with your honor all the day.9 Don't cast me off in the time of old age; Don't forsake me when my strength fails.10 For my enemies speak concerning me; And those who watch for my soul take counsel together,11 Saying, God has forsaken him: Pursue and take him; for there is none to deliver.12 O God, don't be far from me; O my God, hurry to help me.13 Let them be put to shame [and] consumed who are adversaries to my soul; Let them be covered with reproach and dishonor that seek my hurt.14 But I will hope continually, And will praise you yet more and more.15 My mouth will tell of your righteousness, [And] of your salvation all the day; For I don't know the numbers [of it].16 I will come with the mighty acts of the Sovereign Yahweh: I will make mention of your righteousness, even of yours only.17 O God, you have taught me from my youth; And until now I have declared your wondrous works.18 Yes, even when I am old and grayheaded, O God, don't forsake me, Until I have declared your strength to [the next] generation, Your might to everyone who is to come.19 Your righteousness also, O God, is very high; You who have done great things, O God, who is like you?20 You, who have shown us many and intense troubles, Will quicken us again, And will bring us up again from the depths of the earth.21 You will increase my greatness, And turn again and comfort me.22 I will also praise you with the psaltery, [Even] your truth, O my God: To you I will sing praises with the harp, O you Holy One of Israel.23 My lips will shout for joy when I sing praises to you; And my soul, which you have redeemed.24 My tongue also will talk of your righteousness all the day long; For they are put to shame, for they are confounded, that seek my hurt.

1 Em ti, Senhor, busquei refúgio; nunca permitas que eu seja humilhado.2 Resgata-me e livra-me por tua justiça; inclina o teu ouvido para mim e salva-me.3 Peço-te que sejas a minha rocha de refúgio, para onde eu sempre possa ir; dá ordem para que me libertem, pois és a minha rocha e a minha fortaleza.4 Livra-me, ó meu Deus, das mãos dos ímpios, das garras dos perversos e cruéis.5 Pois tu és a minha esperança, ó Soberano Senhor, em ti está a minha confiança desde a juventude.6 Desde o ventre materno dependo de ti; tu me sustentaste desde as entranhas de minha mãe. Eu sempre te louvarei!7 Tornei-me um exemplo para muitos, porque tu és o meu refúgio seguro.8 Do teu louvor transborda a minha boca, que o tempo todo proclama o teu esplendor.9 Não me rejeites na minha velhice; não me abandones quando se vão as minhas forças.10 Pois os meus inimigos me caluniam; os que estão à espreita juntam-se e planejam matar-me.11 "Deus o abandonou", dizem eles; "persigam-no e prendam-no, pois ninguém o livrará". -12 Não fiques longe de mim, ó Deus; ó meu Deus, apressa-te em ajudar-me.13 Pereçam humilhados os meus acusadores; sejam cobertos de zombaria e vergonha os que querem prejudicar-me.14 Mas eu sempre terei esperança e te louvarei cada vez mais.15 A minha boca falará sem cessar da tua justiça e dos teus incontáveis atos de salvação.16 Falarei dos teus feitos poderosos, ó Soberano Senhor; proclamarei a tua justiça, unicamente a tua justiça.17 Desde a minha juventude, ó Deus, tens me ensinado, e até hoje eu anuncio as tuas maravilhas.18 Agora que estou velho, de cabelos brancos, não me abandones, ó Deus, para que eu possa falar da tua força aos nossos filhos, e do teu poder às futuras gerações.19 Tua justiça chega até as alturas, ó Deus, tu, que tens feito coisas grandiosas. Quem se compara a ti, ó Deus?20 Tu, que me fizeste passar muitas e duras tribulações, restaurarás a minha vida, e das profundezas da terra de novo me farás subir.21 Tu me farás mais honrado e mais uma vez me consolarás.22 E eu te louvarei com a lira por tua fidelidade, ó meu Deus; cantarei louvores a ti com a harpa, ó Santo de Israel.23 Os meus lábios gritarão de alegria quando eu cantar louvores a ti, pois tu me redimiste.24 Também a minha língua sempre falará dos teus atos de justiça, pois os que queriam prejudicar-me foram humilhados e ficaram frustrados.
