My soul waits in silence for God only: From him [comes] my salvation.2 He only is my rock and my salvation: [He is] my high tower; I will not be greatly moved.3 How long will you{+} set on a man, That you{+} may slay [him], all of you{+} Like a leaning wall, like a tottering fence?4 They only consult to thrust him down from his dignity; They delight in lies; They bless with their mouth, but they curse inwardly. Selah.5 My soul, wait in silence for God only; For my expectation is from him.6 He only is my rock and my salvation: [He is] my high tower; I will not be moved.7 With God is my salvation and my glory: The rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.8 Trust in him at all times, you{+} people; Pour out your{+} heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.9 Surely sons of man are vanity, and sons of a man are a lie: In the balances they will go up; They are together lighter than vanity.10 Don't trust in oppression, And don't become vain in robbery: If riches increase, don't set your{+} heart [on them].11 God has spoken once, Twice I have heard this, That power belongs to God.12 Also to you, O Lord, belongs loving-kindness; For you render to every man according to his work.

Jamais serei abalado!3 Até quando todos vocês atacarão um homem, que está como um muro inclinado, como uma cerca prestes a cair?4 Todo o propósito deles é derrubá-lo de sua posição elevada; eles se deliciam com mentiras. Com a boca abençoam, mas no íntimo amaldiçoam. Pausa5 Descanse somente em Deus, ó minha alma; dele vem a minha esperança.6 Somente ele é a rocha que me salva; ele é a minha torre alta! Não serei abalado!7 A minha salvação e a minha honra de Deus dependem; ele é a minha rocha firme, o meu refúgio.8 Confiem nele em todos os momentos, ó povo; derramem diante dele o coração, pois ele é o nosso refúgio. Pausa9 Os homens de origem humilde não passam de um sopro, os de origem importante não passam de mentira; pesados na balança, juntos não chegam ao peso de um sopro.10 Não confiem na extorsão, nem ponham a esperança em bens roubados; se as suas riquezas aumentam, não ponham nelas o coração.11 Uma vez Deus falou, duas vezes eu ouvi, que o poder pertence a Deus.12 Contigo também, Senhor, está a fidelidade. É certo que retribuirás a cada um conforme o seu procedimento.
