1 A Psalm of David. Yahweh, I have called on you; hurry to me: Give ear to my voice, when I call to you.2 May my prayer be placed as incense before you; The lifting of my hands as the evening sacrifice.3 Set a watch, O Yahweh, before my mouth; Keep the door of my lips.4 Don't incline my heart to any evil thing, To do deeds of wickedness With men who work iniquity: And don't let me eat of their dainties.5 Let the righteous strike me [it will be] a kindness; And let him reprove me, [it will be as] oil on the head; Don't let my head refuse it: For continually my prayer is against their evil deeds.6 Their judges are thrown down by the sides of the rock; And they will hear my words; for they are sweet.7 As a millstone broken on the earth, Our bones are scattered at the mouth of Sheol.8 For my eyes are to you, O Yahweh the Lord: In you I take refuge; don't leave my soul destitute.9 Keep me from the snare which they have laid for me, And from the traps of the workers of iniquity.10 Let the wicked fall into their own nets, While I nevertheless escape.
1 Clamo a ti, Senhor; vem depressa! Escuta a minha voz quando clamo a ti.2 Seja a minha oração como incenso diante de ti, e o levantar das minhas mãos, como a oferta da tarde.3 Coloca, Senhor, uma guarda à minha boca; vigia a porta de meus lábios.4 Não permitas que o meu coração se volte para o mal, nem que eu me envolva em práticas perversas com os malfeitores. Que eu nunca participe dos seus banquetes!5 Fira-me o justo com amor leal e me repreenda, mas não perfume a minha cabeça o óleo do ímpio, pois a minha oração é contra as práticas dos malfeitores.6 Quando eles caírem nas mãos da Rocha, o juiz deles, ouvirão as minhas palavras com apreço.7 Como a terra é arada e fendida, assim foram espalhados os seus ossos à entrada da sepultura.8 Mas os meus olhos estão fixos em ti, ó Soberano Senhor; em ti me refugio; não me entregues à morte.9 Guarda-me das armadilhas que prepararam contra mim, das ciladas dos que praticam o mal.10 Caiam os ímpios em sua própria rede, enquanto eu escapo ileso.
