Atos dos Apóstolos 3

1 Now Peter and John went up together into the temple, at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour. Péter és János pedig együtt mennek vala fel a templomba az imádkozásnak órájára, kilenczre.
2 mapa And a certain man lame from his mother's womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple. És hoznak vala egy embert, ki az õ anyjának méhétõl fogva sánta vala, kit minden nap le szoktak tenni a templom kapujánál, melyet Ékesnek neveznek, hogy kérjen alamizsnát azoktól, a kik bemennek a temlomba.
3 Who, seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, asked an alms. Ez mikor látta, hogy Péter és János a templomba akarnak bemenni, kére õ tõlük alamizsnát.
4 And Peter fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us. Péter pedig mikor szemeit reá vetette Jánossal egyben, monda: Nézz mi reánk!
5 And he gave heed to them, expecting to receive something from them. Az annakokáért figyelmez vala reájok, remélvén, hogy valamit kap tõlük.
6 mapa Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have I give thee: in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk. Péter pedig monda: Ezüstöm és aranyam nincsen nékem; hanem a mim van, azt adom néked: a názáreti Jézus Krisztus nevében, kelj fel és járj!
7 And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. És õt jobbkezénél fogva felemelé, és azonnal megerõsödének az õ lábai és bokái.
8 And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God. És felszökvén, megálla és jár vala és beméne õ velök a templomba, járkálva és szökdelve és dícsérve az Istent.
9 And all the people saw him walking and praising God: És látá õt az egész nép, hogy jár és dícséri az Istent:
10 mapa And they knew that it was he who sat for alms at the Beautiful gate of the temple: and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened to him. És megismerék õt, hogy õ volt az, a ki alamizsnáért ült a templomnak Ékeskapujában; és megtelének csodálkozással és azon való álmélkodással, a mi történt vala õ vele.
11 mapa And as the lame man who was healed held Peter and John, all the people ran together to them in the porch that is called Solomon's, greatly wondering. Mikor pedig ragaszkodék Péterhez és Jánoshoz az a sánta, a ki meggyógyult, az egész nép álmélkodva összefuta õ hozzájok a tornáczba, mely Salamonénak neveztetik.
12 And when Peter saw it, he answered to the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk? Mikor pedig ezt látta Péter, monda a népnek: Izráel férfiai, mit csodálkoztok ezen, vagy mit néztek mi reánk, mintha tulajdon erõnkkel vagy jámborságunkkal míveltük volna azt, hogy az járjon?
13 The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers hath glorified his Son Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let him go. Az Ábrahámnak, Izsáknak és Jákóbnak Istene, a mi atyáinknak Istene megdicsõítette az õ Fiát, Jézust, kit ti elárulátok, és megtagadátok Pilátus elõtt, noha õ úgy ítélt, hogy elbocsátja.
14 But ye denied the Holy One, and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted to you, Ti pedig azt a szentet és igazat megtagadátok és kívánátok, hogy a gyilkos ember bocsáttassék el néktek,
15 And killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; of which we are witnesses. Az életnek fejedelmét pedig megölétek; kit az Isten feltámasztott a halálból, minek mi vagyunk bizonyságai.
16 And his name, through faith in his name, hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yes, the faith which is by him, hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all. És az õ nevében való hit által erõsítette meg az õ neve ezt, a kit láttok és ismertek; és a hit, mely õ általa van, adta néki ezt az épséget mindnyájan a ti szemetek láttára.
17 And now, brethren, I know that through ignorance ye did it, as did also your rulers. De most, atyámfiai, tudom, hogy tudatlanságból cselekedtetek, miképen a ti fejedelmeitek is.
18 But those things which God before had shown by the mouth of all his prophets, that Christ should suffer, he hath so fulfilled. Az Isten pedig, a mikrõl eleve megmondotta minden õ prófétájának szája által, hogy a Krisztus elszenvedi, ekképen töltötte be.
19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord, Bánjátok meg azért és térjetek meg, hogy eltöröltessenek a ti bûneitek, hogy így eljõjjenek a felüdülés idei az Úrnak színétõl.
20 And he will send Jesus Christ, who before was preached to you: És elküldje a Jézus Krisztust, a ki néktek elõre hirdettetett.
21 Whom the heaven must receive, until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets, since the world began. Kit az égnek kell magába fogadnia mind az idõkig, míglen újjá teremtetnek mindenek, a mikrõl szólott az Isten minden õ szent prófétájának szája által eleitõl fogva.
22 For Moses truly said to the fathers, A Prophet will the Lord your God raise up to you, of your brethren, like me; him shall ye hear in all things, whatever he shall say to you. Mert Mózes ezt mondotta az atyáknak: Prófétát támaszt néktek az Úr, a ti Istenetek a ti atyátokfiai közül, mint engem; azt hallgassátok mindenben, a mit csak szólánd néktek.
23 And it shall come to pass, that every soul who will not hear that Prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people. Lészen pedig, hogy minden lélek, valamely nem hallgatánd arra a prófétára, ki fog irtatni a nép közül.
24 And all the prophets also from Samuel, and those that follow, as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold these days. De a próféták is mindnyájan Sámueltõl és a következõktõl fogva, a kik csak szóltak, e napokról jövendöltek.
25 Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying to Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed. Ti vagytok a prófétáknak és a szövetségnek fiai, melyet Isten szerzett a mi atyáinkkal, mondván Ábrahámnak: És a te magodban megáldatnak a földnek nemzetségei mindnyájan.
26 To you first, God having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities. Az Isten az õ Fiát, Jézust elsõ sorban néktek támasztván, elküldé õt, hogy megáldjon titeket, mindegyikõtöket megtérítvén bûneitekbõl.
