1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God*GodHebrew: Elohim They have corrupted themselves, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good. 2 God looked down from the heavens upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, that did seek God*GodHebrew: Elohim3 Every one of them is gone back, they are together become corrupt: there is none that doeth good, not even one. 4 Have the workers of iniquity no knowledge, eating up my people as they eat bread? they call not upon God*GodHebrew: Elohim5 There were they in great fear, where no fear was; for God*GodHebrew: Elohim scattereth the bones of him that encampeth against thee. Thou hast put them to shame, for God*GodHebrew: Elohim hath despised them. 6 Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! When God*GodHebrew: Elohim turneth again the captivity of his people, Jacob shall be glad, Israel shall rejoice.

1 La sensaĝulo diris en sia koro: Dio ne ekzistas.

Ili sentaŭgiĝis, kaj abomeniĝis en la malvirto;

Ekzistas neniu, kiu faras bonon.

2 Dio el la ĉielo ekrigardis la homidojn,

Por vidi, ĉu ekzistas prudentulo, kiu serĉas Dion.

3 Ĉiu devojiĝis, ĉiuj malvirtiĝis;

Ekzistas neniu, faranta bonon, ne ekzistas eĉ unu.

4 Ĉu ne prudentiĝos tiuj, kiuj faras malbonon,

Kiuj manĝas mian popolon, kiel oni manĝas panon,

Kaj kiuj ne vokas al Dio?

5 Tie ili forte ektimis, kie timindaĵo ne ekzistis;

Ĉar Dio disĵetis la ostojn de tiuj, kiuj vin sieĝas;

Vi hontigis ilin, ĉar Dio ilin forpuŝis.

6 Ho, ke venu el Cion savo al Izrael!

Kiam Dio revenigos Sian forkaptitan popolon,

Tiam triumfos Jakob kaj ĝojos Izrael.
