1 And these are the commandments, the statutes, and the ordinances, which Jehovah your God*GodHebrew: Elohim commanded to teach you, that ye may do them in the land whereunto ye pass over to possess it, 2 that thou mayest fear Jehovah thy God*GodHebrew: Elohim to keep all his statutes and his commandments which I command thee, thou, and thy son, and thy son’s son, all the days of thy life; and that thy days may be prolonged. 3 And thou shalt hear, Israel, and take heed to do them; that it may be well with thee, and that ye may increase greatly, as Jehovah the God*GodHebrew: Elohim of thy fathers hath said unto thee, in a land flowing with milk and honey.

4 Hear, Israel: Jehovah our God*GodHebrew: Elohim is one Jehovah; 5 and thou shalt love Jehovah thy God*GodHebrew: Elohim with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength. 6 And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thy heart; 7 and thou shalt impress them on thy sons, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thy house, and when thou goest on the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. 8 And thou shalt bind them for a sign on thy hand, and they shall be for frontlets between thine eyes. 9 And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and upon thy gates. 10 And it shall be, when Jehovah thy God*GodHebrew: Elohim bringeth thee into the land which he swore unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give thee: great and good cities which thou buildedst not, 11 and houses full of everything good which thou filledst not, and wells digged which thou diggedst not, vineyards and oliveyards which thou plantedst not, and thou shalt have eaten and shalt be full; 12 then beware lest thou forget Jehovah who brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. 13 Thou shalt fear Jehovah thy God*GodHebrew: Elohim and serve him, and shalt swear by his name. 14 Ye shall not go after other gods, of the gods of the peoples that are round about you; 15 for Jehovah thy God*GodHebrew: Elohim is a jealous ·God*GodHebrew: El in thy midst; lest the anger of Jehovah thy God*GodHebrew: Elohim be kindled against thee, and he destroy thee from the face of the earth. 16 Ye shall not tempt Jehovah your God*GodHebrew: Elohim as ye tempted him in Massah.

17 Ye shall diligently keep the commandments of Jehovah your God*GodHebrew: Elohim and his testimonies, and his statutes, which he hath commanded thee. 18 And thou shalt do what is right and good in the sight of Jehovah, that it may be well with thee, and that thou mayest enter in and possess the good land which Jehovah swore unto thy fathers, 19 thrusting out all thine enemies from before thee, as Jehovah hath spoken. 20 When thy son shall ask thee in time to come, saying, What are the testimonies, and the statutes, and the ordinances, which Jehovah our God*GodHebrew: Elohim hath commanded you? 21 then thou shalt say unto thy son, We were Pharaoh’s bondmen in Egypt; and Jehovah brought us out of Egypt with a powerful hand; 22 and Jehovah shewed signs and wonders, great and grievous, upon Egypt, upon Pharaoh, and upon all his household, before our eyes; 23 and he brought us out thence, that he might bring us in, to give us the land which he swore unto our fathers. 24 And Jehovah commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear Jehovah our God*GodHebrew: Elohim for our good continually, that he might preserve us alive, as it is this day. 25 And it shall be our righteousness if we take heed to do all these commandments before Jehovah our God*GodHebrew: Elohim as he hath commanded us.

Cap. 11:18.Prov. 3:3;6:21;7:3. ca un semn de aducere aminte la mâini și să-ți fie ca niște fruntarii între ochi. 9 Să le*Cap. 11:20.Is. 57:8. scrii pe ușorii casei tale și pe porțile tale.

10 Domnul Dumnezeul tău te va face să intri în țara pe care a jurat părinților tăi, lui Avraam, lui Isaac și lui Iacov, că ți-o va da. Vei stăpâni cetăți mari și bune pe care nu tu le-ai*Ios. 24:13.Ps. 105:44. zidit, 11 case pline de tot felul de bunuri pe care nu tu le-ai umplut, puțuri de apă săpate pe care nu tu le-ai săpat, vii și măslini pe care nu tu i-ai sădit. Când vei mânca și te vei*Cap. 8:10. sătura, 12 vezi să nu uiți pe Domnul, care te-a scos din țara Egiptului, din casa robiei. 13 Să te temi*Cap. 10:12,20;13:4.Mat. 4:10.Luca 4:8. de Domnul Dumnezeul tău, să-I slujești și pe Numele Lui să juri. 14 Să nu*Ps. 63:11.Is. 45:23;65:16.Ier. 4:2;5:7;12:16. vă duceți*Cap. 8:19;11:28.Ier. 25:6. după alți dumnezei dintre dumnezeii*Cap. 13:7. popoarelor din jurul vostru, 15 căci Domnul*Exod 20:5. Cap. 12:28;13:18. ce este plăcut și bine înaintea Domnului, ca să fii fericit și să intri în stăpânirea țării aceleia bune, pe care Domnul a jurat părinților tăi că ți-o va da, 19 după ce va*Num. 33:52,53. izgoni pe toți vrăjmașii tăi dinaintea ta, cum a spus Domnul. 20 Când fiul*Exod 13:14. tău te va întreba într-o zi: ‘Ce înseamnă învățăturile acestea, legile acestea și poruncile acestea, pe care vi le-a dat Domnul Dumnezeul nostru?’, 21 să răspunzi fiului tău: ‘Noi eram robi ai lui Faraon în Egipt, și Domnul ne-a scos din Egipt cu mâna Lui*Exod 3:19;13:3. cea puternică. 22 Domnul*Exod 7:8-12.Ps. 135:9. a făcut, sub ochii noștri, minuni și semne mari și nenorocite împotriva Egiptului, împotriva lui Faraon și împotriva întregii lui case 23 și ne-a scos de acolo ca să ne aducă în țara pe care jurase părinților noștri că ne-o va da. 24 Domnul ne-a poruncit atunci să împlinim toate aceste legi și să ne temem*Vers. 2. de Domnul Dumnezeul nostru, ca să fim*Cap. 10:13.Iov 35:7,8.Ier. 32:39. totdeauna fericiți și să ne*Cap. 4:1;8:1.Ps. 41:2.Luca 10:28. țină în viață, cum face astăzi. 25 Vom avea parte*Lev. 18:5. Cap. 24:13.Rom. 10:3,5. de îndurarea Lui dacă vom împlini cu scumpătate toate aceste porunci înaintea Domnului Dumnezeului nostru, cum ne-a poruncit El.’
