1 Az éneklõmesternek; Dávid zsoltára, éneke.

2 Felkél az Isten, elszélednek ellenségei; és elfutnak elõle az õ gyûlölõi.

3 A mint a füst elszéled, úgy széleszted el õket; a mint elolvad a viasz a tûz elõtt, úgy vesznek el a gonoszok Isten elõl;

4 Az igazak pedig örvendeznek és vígadnak az Isten elõtt, és ujjongnak örömmel.

5 Énekeljetek Istennek, zengedezzetek az õ nevének; csináljatok útat annak, a ki jön a pusztákon át, a kinek Jah a neve, és örüljetek elõtte.

6 Árváknak atyja, özvegyeknek bírája az Isten az õ szentséges hajlékában.

7 Isten hozza vissza a számûzötteket, kihozza boldogságra a foglyokat; csak az engedetlenek lakoznak sivatag helyen.

8 Oh Isten, mikor kivonultál a te néped elõtt, mikor a pusztába beléptél: Szela.

9 A föld reng vala, az egek is csepegnek vala Isten elõtt, ez a Sinai hegy is az Isten elõtt, az Izráel Istene elõtt.

10 Bõ záport hintesz vala, oh Isten, a te örökségedre, s a lankadót megújítod vala.

11 Benne tanyázott a te gyülekezeted: te szerzéd jóvoltodból a szegénynek, oh Isten!

12 Az Úr ad vala szólniok az örömhírt vivõ asszonyok nagy csapatának.

13 A seregek királyai futnak, futnak: s a házi asszony zsákmányt osztogat.

14 Ha cserények között hevertek is: [olyanok lesztek, mint] a galambnak szárnyai, a melyeket ezüst borít, vagy [mint] vitorla-tollai, a melyek színarany fényûek.

15 Mikor a Mindenható szétszórta benne a királyokat, [mintha] hó esett [volna] a Salmonon.

16 Isten hegye a Básán hegye; sok halmú hegy a Básán hegye;

17 Mit kevélykedtek ti sok halmú hegyek? Ezt a hegyet választotta Isten lakóhelyéül; bizony [ezen] lakozik az Úr mindörökké!

18 Az Isten szekere húszezer, ezer meg ezer; az Úr közöttük van, mint a Sinai [hegyen] az õ szent [hajléká]ban.

19 Felmentél a magasságba, foglyokat vezettél, adományokat fogadtál emberekben: még a pártütõk is [ide jönnek] lakni, oh Uram Isten!

20 Áldott legyen az Úr! Napról-napra gondoskodik rólunk a mi szabadításunk Istene! Szela.

21 Ez a mi Istenünk a szabadításnak Istene, és az Úr Isten az, a ki megszabadít a haláltól.

22 Csak Isten ronthatja meg az õ ellenségeinek fejét, a bûneiben járónak üstökös koponyáját.

23 Azt mondta vala az Úr: Básánból visszahozlak, a tenger mélységébõl is kihozlak,

24 Hogy lábadat veresre fessed a vérben, ebeidnek nyelve az ellenségbõl lakomázzék.

25 Látták a te bevonulásodat, oh Isten! Az én Istenem, királyom bevonulását a szentélybe.

26 Elõl mennek vala az éneklõk, utánok a húrpengetõk, középen a doboló leányok.

27 A gyülekezetekben áldjátok az Istent, az Urat áldjátok, ti Izráel magvából valók!

28 Ott a kis Benjámin, a ki uralkodik rajtok, a Júda fejedelmei és az õ gyülekezetök; a Zebulon fejedelmei [és] a Nafthali fejedelmei.

29 Istened rendelte el a te hatalmadat: erõsítsd meg, oh Isten, azt, a mit számunkra készítettél!

30 A te Jeruzsálem felett álló hajlékodból királyok hoznak majd néked ajándékokat.

31 Fenyítsd meg a nádasnak vadját, a bikák csordáját a népek tulkaival egybe, a kik ezüst-rudakkal terpeszkednek; szórd szét a népeket, a kik a háborúban gyönyörködnek.

32 Eljõnek majd a fõemberek Égyiptomból; Szerecsenország hamar kinyujtja kezeit Istenhez.

33 E földnek országai mind énekeljetek Istennek: zengjetek dicséretet az Úrnak! Szela.

34 A ki kezdettõl fogva az egek egein ül; ímé, [onnét] szól nagy kemény szóval.

35 Tegyetek tisztességet Istennek, a kinek dicsõsége az Izráelen és az õ hatalma a felhõkben van. [ (Psalms 68:36) Rettenetes vagy, oh Isten, a te szent hajlékodból; az Izráelnek Istene ád erõt és hatalmat a népnek. Áldott legyen az Isten! ]

1 [To the chief Musician. Of David. A Psalm: a Song.] Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered, and let them that hate him flee before him.

2 As smoke is driven, thou wilt drive them away; as wax melteth before the fire, the wicked shall perish at the presence of God.

3 But the righteous shall rejoice: they shall exult before God and be glad with joy.

4 Sing unto God, sing forth his name; cast up a way for him that rideth in the deserts: his name is Jah; and rejoice before him.

5 A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is God in his holy habitation.

6 God maketh the solitary into families; those that were bound he bringeth out into prosperity: but the rebellious dwell in a parched {land}.

7 O God, when thou wentest forth before thy people, when thou didst march through the wilderness-(Selah) -

8 The earth trembled, the heavens also dropped at the presence of God, yon Sinai, at the presence of God, the God of Israel.

9 Thou, O God, didst pour a plentiful rain upon thine inheritance, and when it was weary thou strengthenedst it.

10 Thy flock hath dwelt therein: thou hast prepared in thy goodness, for the afflicted, O God!

11 The Lord gives the word: great the host of the publishers.

12 Kings of armies flee; they flee, and she that tarrieth at home divideth the spoil.

13 Though ye have lain among the sheepfolds, {ye shall be as} wings of a dove covered with silver, and her feathers with green gold.

14 When the Almighty scattered kings in it, it became snow-white as Zalmon.

15 {As} mount Bashan is the mount of God, a many-peaked mountain, {as} mount Bashan.

16 Why do ye look with envy, ye many-peaked mountains, upon the mount that God hath desired for his abode? yea, Jehovah will dwell {there} for ever.

17 The chariots of God are twenty thousand, thousands upon thousands; the Lord is among them: it is a Sinai in holiness.

18 Thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led captivity captive: thou hast received gifts in Man, and even {for} the rebellious, for the dwelling {there} of Jah Elohim.

19 Blessed be the Lord: day by day doth he load us {with good}, the *God who is our salvation. Selah.

20 Our *God is the *God of salvation; and with Jehovah, the Lord, are the goings forth {even} from death.

21 Verily God will smite the head of his enemies, the hairy scalp of him that goeth on still in his trespasses.

22 The Lord said, I will bring again from Bashan, I will bring {them} again from the depth of the sea;

23 That thou mayest dip thy foot in blood: the tongue of thy dogs has its portion from enemies.

24 They have seen thy goings, O God, the goings of my *God, my King, in the sanctuary.

25 The singers went before, the players on stringed instruments after, in the midst of maidens playing on tabrets.

26 In the congregations bless ye God, the Lord, -{ye} from the fountain of Israel.

27 There is little Benjamin, their ruler; the princes of Judah, their company; the princes of Zebulun, the princes of Naphtali.

28 Thy God hath commanded thy strength: strengthen, O God, that which thou hast wrought for us.

29 Because of thy temple at Jerusalem shall kings bring presents unto thee.

30 Rebuke the beast of the reeds, the assembly of the strong, with the calves of the peoples: {every one} submitteth himself with pieces of silver. Scatter the peoples that delight in war.

31 Great ones shall come out of Egypt; Ethiopia shall quickly stretch out her hands unto God.

32 Ye kingdoms of the earth, sing unto God; sing psalms of the Lord, (Selah,)

33 Of him that rideth upon the heavens, the heavens which are of old: lo, he uttereth his voice, a mighty voice.

34 Ascribe ye strength unto God: his excellency is over Israel, and his strength is in the clouds.

35 Terrible art thou, O God, out of thy sanctuaries, -the *God of Israel! He it is that giveth strength and might unto the people. Blessed be God!
