Isaías 12

Te Whakawhetai me te Whakamoemiti

1 Ā, i taua rā ka mea koe:

"Ka whakamoemiti atu ahau ki a koe, e Ihowā;

ahakoa hoki i riri koe ki ahau,

kua tahuri atu tōu riri,

ā, kei te whakamārie koe i ahau.

2 Nanā, ko te Atua tōku whakaoranga;

ka whakawhirinaki ahau, e kore anō e wehi.

Ko te Ariki hoki, ko IHOWĀ tōku kaha, tāku waiata;

ko ia anō hei whakaoranga mōku.

3 Nā, ka utu wai koutou i runga i te koa

i roto i ngā puna o te whakaoranga."

4 Ka mea anō hoki i taua rā:

"Whakamoemitia a Ihowā,

karanga atu ki tōna ingoa;

whakaaturia āna mahi ki roto i ngā iwi;

kauwhautia atu kua oti tōna ingoa te whakaneke ake.

5 Waiata ki a Ihowā, he nui noa atu hoki āna mahi;

meinga kia mōhiotia tēnei puta noa i te ao.

6 Hāmama kia nui te reo, e te wahine e noho ana i Hiona,

he nui hoki te Mea Tapu o Īharaira i waenganui i a koe."

1 And in that day thou shalt say, I will give thanks unto thee, O Jehovah; for though thou wast angry with me, thine anger is turned away and thou comfortest me. 2 Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid: for Jehovah, even Jehovah, is my strength and song; and he is become my salvation. 3 Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation. 4 And in that day shall ye say, Give thanks unto Jehovah, call upon his name, declare his doings among the peoples, make mention that his name is exalted. 5 Sing unto Jehovah; for he hath done excellent things: let this be known in all the earth. 6 Cry aloud and shout, thou inhabitant of Zion; for great in the midst of thee is the Holy One of Israel.
