1 Reveste da tua justiça o rei, ó Deus, e o filho do rei, da tua retidão,2 para que ele julgue com retidão e com justiça os teus que sofrem opressão.3 Que os montes tragam prosperidade ao povo, e as colinas, o fruto da justiça.4 Defenda ele os oprimidos entre o povo e liberte os filhos dos pobres; esmague ele o opressor!5 Que ele perdure como o sol e como a lua, por todas as gerações.6 Seja ele como chuva sobre uma lavoura ceifada, como aguaceiros que regam a terra.7 Floresçam os justos nos dias do rei, e haja grande prosperidade enquanto durar a lua.8 Governe ele de mar a mar e desde o rio Eufrates até os confins da terra.9 Inclinem-se diante dele as tribos do deserto, e os seus inimigos lambam o pó.10 Que os reis de Társis e das regiões litorâneas lhe tragam tributo; os reis de Sabá e de Sebá lhe ofereçam presentes.11 Inclinem-se diante dele todos os reis, e sirvam-no todas as nações.12 Pois ele liberta os pobres que pedem socorro, os oprimidos que não têm quem os ajude.13 Ele se compadece dos fracos e dos pobres, e os salva da morte.14 Ele os resgata da opressão e da violência, pois aos seus olhos a vida deles é preciosa.15 Tenha o rei vida longa! Receba ele o ouro de Sabá. Que se ore por ele continuamente, e todo o dia se invoquem bênçãos sobre ele.16 Haja fartura de trigo por toda a terra, ondulando no alto dos montes. Floresçam os seus frutos como os do Líbano e cresçam as cidades como as plantas no campo.17 Permaneça para sempre o seu nome e dure a sua fama enquanto o sol brilhar. Sejam abençoadas todas as nações por meio dele, e que elas o chamem bendito.18 Bendito seja o Senhor Deus, o Deus de Israel, o único que realiza feitos maravilhosos.19 Bendito seja o seu glorioso nome para sempre; encha-se toda a terra da sua glória. 1 Give the king thy judgments, O God, and thy righteousness to the king's son.2 He will judge thy people with righteousness, and thy poor with justice.3 The mountains shall bring peace to the people, and the hills, in righteousness.4 He will judge the poor of the people. He will save the sons of the needy, and will break in pieces the oppressor.5 They shall fear thee while the sun endures, and as long as the moon, throughout all generations.6 He will come down like rain upon the mown grass, as showers that water the earth.7 In his days righteousness shall flourish, and abundance of peace, till the moon is no more.8 He shall also have dominion from sea to sea, and from the River to the ends of the earth.9 Those who dwell in the wilderness shall bow before him, and his enemies shall lick the dust.10 The kings of Tarshish and of the isles shall render tribute. The kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts.11 Yea, all kings shall fall down before him. All nations shall serve him.12 For he will deliver a needy man when he cries, and a poor man, who has no helper.13 He will have pity on a poor and needy man, and he will save the souls of the needy.14 He will redeem their soul from oppression and violence. And their blood will be precious in his sight,15 and they shall live. And to him shall be given of the gold of Sheba. And men shall pray for him continually. They shall bless him all the day long.16 There shall be abundance of grain in the earth upon the top of the mountains. The fruit of it shall shake like Lebanon. And they of the city shall flourish like grass of the earth.17 His name shall endure forever. His name shall be continued as long as the sun. And men shall be blessed in him. All nations shall call him blessed.18 Blessed be LORD God, the God of Israel, who alone does wondrous things.19 And blessed be his glorious name forever.
