1 Alegrei-me com os que me disseram: "Vamos à casa do Senhor! "2 Nossos pés já se encontram dentro de suas portas, ó Jerusalém!3 Jerusalém está construída como cidade firmemente estabelecida.4 Para lá sobem as tribos do Senhor, para dar graças ao Senhor, conforme o mandamento dado a Israel.5 Lá estão os tribunais de justiça, os tribunais da casa real de Davi.6 Orem pela paz de Jerusalém: "Vivam em segurança aqueles que te amam!7 Haja paz dentro dos teus muros e segurança nas tuas cidadelas! "8 Em favor de meus irmãos e amigos, direi: "Paz seja com você! "9 Em favor da casa do Senhor, nosso Deus, buscarei o seu bem.

1 I was glad when they said to me, Let us go to the house of LORD.2 Our feet are standing inside thy gates, O Jerusalem.3 Jerusalem, that is built as a city that is compact together,4 where the tribes go up, even the tribes of LORD, [for] an ordinance for Israel, to give thanks to the name of LORD.5 For there thrones are set for judgment, the thrones of the house of David.6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem. They shall prosper who love thee.7 Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces.8 For my brothers and companions' sakes I will now say, Peace be within thee.9 For the sake of the house of LORD our God I will seek thy good.
