1 PALABRA que fué á Jeremías de Jehová, diciendo:

2 Así habló Jehová Dios de Israel, diciendo: ✝30.2 cp. 36.2.Escríbete en un libro todas las palabras que te he hablado.

3 Porque he aquí que ✝30.3 cp. 9.25.vienen días, dice Jehová, en que ✝30.3 Esd. 2.1. cp. 29.14 y 31.23 y 32.44.tornaré la cautividad de mi pueblo ✝30.3 cp. 31.6. Os. 1.11.Israel y Judá, ha dicho Jehová, ✝30.3 cp. 16.15.y harélos volver á la tierra que dí á sus padres, y la poseerán.

4 Estas pues son las palabras que habló Jehová acerca de Israel y de Judá.

5 Porque así ha dicho Jehová: Hemos oído voz de temblor: espanto, y no paz.

6 Preguntad ahora, y mirad si pare el varón: porque he visto que todo hombre tenía las manos sobre sus lomos, como mujer de parto, y hanse tornado pálidos ✝30.6 Jl. 2.6.todos los rostros.

7 ✝ 30.7 Jl. 2.11. ¡Ah, cuán grande es aquel día! tanto, que no hay otro semejante á él: tiempo de angustia para Jacob; mas de ella será librado.

8 Y será en ✝30.8 Is. 2.11.aquel día, dice Jehová de los ejércitos, que yo ✝30.8 cp. 2.20. Nah. 1.13.quebraré su yugo de tu cuello, y romperé tus coyundas, y ✝30.8 cp. 25.14.extraños no lo volverán más á poner en servidumbre,

9 Sino que servirán á Jehová su Dios, y á David ✝30.9 Sal. 89.3. Is. 55.3,4. Ez. 34.23.su rey, el cual les levantaré.

10 Tú pues, siervo mío Jacob, ✝30.10 Is. 41.8.no temas, dice Jehová, ni te atemorices, Israel: porque he aquí que yo soy el que te salvo de lejos, y á tu simiente de la tierra de su cautividad; y Jacob tornará, y descansará y sosegará, y no habrá quien le espante.

11 Porque yo soy contigo, dice Jehová, para salvarte: y ✝30.11 Am. 9.8.haré consumación en todas las gentes entre las cuales te esparcí; ✝30.11 cp. 4.27.en ti empero no haré consumación, sino que te castigaré ✝30.11 cp. 10.24.con juicio, y no te talaré del todo.

12 Porque así ha dicho Jehová: ✝30.12 ver. 15. cp. 15.18.Desahuciado es tu quebrantamiento, y dificultosa tu llaga.

13 No hay quien juzgue tu causa para salud: no hay para ti eficaces medicamentos.

14 Todos tus enamorados te ✝30.14 cp. 4.30. Lm. 1.2,19.olvidaron; no te buscan; porque de herida ✝30.14 Lm. 2.4.de enemigo te herí, con azote de cruel, á causa de la muchedumbre de tu maldad, y de la multitud de tus pecados.

15 ¿Por qué gritas á causa de tu quebrantamiento? Desahuciado es tu dolor: porque por la grandeza de tu iniquidad, y por tus muchos pecados te he hecho esto.

16 Empero ✝30.16 ver. 11. Ex. 23.22. Is. 33.1 y 41.11.serán consumidos todos los que te consumen; y todos tus afligidores, todos irán en cautiverio; y hollados serán los que te hollaron, y á todos los que hicieron presa de ti daré en presa.

17 Mas ✝30.17 cp. 33.6.yo haré venir sanidad para ti, y te sanaré de tus heridas, dice Jehová; porque ✝30.17 Mi. 4.6.Arrojada te llamaron, diciendo: Esta es Sión, á la que nadie busca.

18 Así ha dicho Jehová: He aquí ✝30.18 ver. 3. Am. 9.11.yo hago tornar la cautividad de las tiendas de Jacob, y ✝30.18 Sal. 102.13.de sus tiendas tendré misericordia; y la ciudad será edificada sobre su collado, y el templo será asentado según su forma.

19 Y ✝30.19 Is. 35.10 y 51.11.saldrá de ellos alabanza, y voz de gente que está en regocijo: ✝30.19 Ez. 36.10,37. Zac. 10.8.y los multiplicaré, y no serán disminuídos; multiplicarélos, y no serán menoscabados.

20 Y serán sus hijos ✝30.20 Is. 1.26. cp. 33.7,11como de primero, y su congregación delante de mí será confirmada; y visitaré á todos sus opresores.

21 Y de él será su fuerte, y de en medio de él saldrá su ✝30.21 Gn. 49.10. Dt. 18.18.enseñoreador; y haréle llegar cerca, y acercaráse á mí: porque ¿quién es aquel que ablandó su corazón para llegarse á mí? dice Jehová.

22 Y me seréis ✝30.22 Lv. 26.12. cp. Jer. 24.7.por pueblo, y yo seré vuestro Dios.

23 He aquí, la tempestad de Jehová sale con furor, la tempestad que se apareja; sobre la cabeza de los impíos reposará.

24 ✝ 30.24 cp. 12.13. No se volverá la ira del enojo de Jehová, hasta que haya hecho y cumplido los pensamientos de su corazón: ✝30.24 Ez. 38.16. Os. 3.5.en el fin de los días entenderéis esto.

4 Ā, ko ngā kupu ēnei i kōrerotia e Ihowā mō Īharaira rāua ko Hūrā: 5 Ko te kupu hoki tēnei a Ihowā:

"Kua rongo tātou i te reo o te tūiri,

o te wehi, ehara i te rongo mau.

6 Tēnā rā, ui atu, kia kite ai koutou?

He whānau tamariki rānei tā te tāne?

He aha ahau i kite ai i ngā tāngata katoa

ko ō rātou ringa kei ō rātou hope,

koia anō kei te wahine e whānau ana,

kua puta kē anō ngā kanohi katoa, kua kōmā?

7 Auē! He rā nui hoki taua rā,

kāhore he rite mōna.

Ko te wā hoki ia o tō Hākopa mamae;

otiia ka whakaorangia ia i taua mamae.

8 "Nā, i taua rā," e ai tā Ihowā o ngā mano,

"ka wāhia e ahau tāna ioka i tōu kakī,

ka motuhia hoki ōu here;

e kore hoki ia e whakamahia e ngā tāngata kē i muri iho.

9 Engari, ka mahi rātou ki a Ihowā, ki tō rātou Atua,

ki a Rāwiri hoki, ki tō rātou kīngi

e whakaarahia ake e ahau mō rātou.

10 "Nā reira kaua e wehi, e tāku pononga, e Hākopa," e ai tā Ihowā,

"kaua hoki e pāwera, e Īharaira.

Nanā, ka whakaora hoki ahau i a koe i tawhiti,

i ōu uri anō i te whenua i whakaraua atu ai rātou;

ā, ka hoki mai a Hākopa, ka āta noho, ka whai tānga manawa,

tē ai he kaiwhakawehi mōna.

11 Nō te mea hei hoa ahau mōu,"

e ai tā Ihowā, "hei whakaora i a koe;

ka poto rawa hoki i ahau ngā iwi katoa

kua whakamararatia atu nā koe ki reira,

otiia e kore koe e poto rawa i ahau;

engari ka pākia koe e ahau,

he mea whakarite mārie atu,

e kore anō hoki koe e tukua kia kāhore rawa e whiua."

12 Ko te kupu hoki tēnei a Ihowā:

"Ko tōu pakaru e kore e mahu,

he mamae rawa tōu marūtanga.

13 Kāhore he tangata hei tohe i tāu,

kia takaia ai koe;

kāhore ōu rongoā whakamahu.

14 Ko te hunga katoa i aroha ki a koe kua wareware ki a koe;

kāhore rātou e rapu i a koe;

nō te mea i patua koe e ahau ki te patu a te hoariri,

ki te whiu hoki a te tangata nanakia;

he nui hoki nō tōu kino,

he maha nō ōu hara.

15 He aha koe i tangi ai ki tōu pakaru?

E kore tōu mamae e taea te rongoā.

Mō te nui hoki o tōu kino,

he maha nō ōu hara,

i meinga ai e ahau ēnei mea ki a koe.

16 "Nā reira ko te hunga katoa e kai ana i a koe, ka kainga rātou;

ko ōu hoariri katoa, ko rātou katoa, ka riro ki te whakarau;

ko te hunga e pāhua ana i a koe ka pāhuatia rātou,

ā, ka tukua e ahau hei taonga pārau te hunga katoa e muru ana i a koe.

17 Ka whakahokia atu hoki e ahau te ora ki a koe,

ka rongoātia e ahau ōu marūtanga,"

e ai tā Ihowā;

"nō te mea kua kīia koe e rātou, he peinga,

kua mea: ‘Ko Hiona tēnei e kore nei e rapua e te tangata.’ "

18 Ko te kupu tēnei a Ihowā:

"Nanā, ka whakahokia mai e ahau i te whakarau ngā tēneti o Hākopa,

ka aroha ki ōna nohoanga;

ā, ka hangā te pā ki runga ki tōna pūranga anō,

ka whakapūmautia anō ngā tikanga o te whare kīngi.

19 Ka puta mai anō i reira te whakamoemiti,

me te reo o te hunga e kata ana:

ā, ka whakanuia rātou e ahau, e kore rātou e torutoru;

ka whakakorōriatia hoki rātou e ahau, ā, e kore rātou e iti.

20 Ā, ka rite ā rātou tamariki ki ō mua;

ka whakapūmautia hoki tō rātou whakaminenga ki tōku aroaro,

ā, ka whiua e ahau te hunga katoa e tūkino ana i a rātou.

21 Ā, ko tō rātou metararahi ko tētahi anō o rātou,

ka puta ake hoki tō rātou kāwana i roto i a rātou;

ā, ka meinga ia e ahau kia whakatata mai,

ā, ka haere mai ia ki ahau;

ko wai oti tēnei kua toa nei ki te haere mai ki ahau?"

e ai tā Ihowā.

22 "Ā, hei iwi koutou māku,

ko ahau hoki hei Atua mō koutou."

23 Nanā, ko te tūkauati a Ihowā,

arā ko tōna riri mura tonu,

te paoho atu nā, he tūkauati e tahi ana:

tērā e āki ki runga ki te māhunga o te hunga kino.

24 E kore e tahuri atu te riri kino o Ihowā,

kia oti rā anō i a ia, kia whakapūmautia rā anō e ia

ngā whakaaro o tōna ngākau.

I ngā rā whakamutunga ka mātau koutou.
