1 O poderoso Deus, Jeová, fala E convoca a terra desde o nascer do sol até o seu ocaso.2 Desde Sião, perfeição de beleza, Resplandece Deus.3 O nosso Deus vem, e não fica em silêncio; Arde diante dele um fogo, E em redor reina uma grande procela.4 Ele intima os céus lá em cima, E a terra para o julgamento do seu povo.5 Reuni a mim os meus santos, Os que comigo fazem aliança por meio de sacrifícios.6 Os céus proclamam a retidão dele, Porque é Deus mesmo quem vai julgar. (Selá)7 Ouve, povo meu, e eu falarei; Ó Israel, e eu te protestarei: Eu sou Deus, o teu Deus.8 Não te argüirei de teus sacrifícios, Nem de teus holocaustos, que estão sempre diante de mim.9 Não tomarei da tua casa novilhos, Nem dos teus apriscos, bodes.10 Pois meus são todos os animais do bosque, E os gados sobre milhares de outeiros.11 Conheço todas as aves dos montes, E tudo o que se move no campo, tenho-o presente.12 Se eu tivesse fome, não to diria a ti; Pois meu é o mundo e a sua plenitude.13 Acaso hei de comer a carne de touros, Ou beber o sangue de bodes?14 Oferece a Deus sacrifício de ação de graças, E paga ao Altíssimo os teus votos;15 Invoca-me no dia da angústia; Eu te livrarei, e tu me glorificarás.16 Mas o iníquo diz Deus: Que fazes tu em recitares os meus estatutos, E em tomares a minha aliança na tua boca,17 Visto que tu aborreces a instrução, E lanças para trás das costas as minhas palavras?18 Quando vias um ladrão, tu te comprazias nele, E participavas com os adúlteros.19 Soltas a tua boca para a perversidade, E a tua língua trama enganos.20 Sentado falas contra teu irmão, Difamas o filho de tua mãe.21 Estas coisas tens feito, e calei-me; Pensavas que eu me tornaria sem dúvida como tu: Mas eu te argüirei, e te porei tudo à vista.22 Considerai isto, vós que vos esqueceis de Deus, Para que não vos despedace eu, sem haver quem acuda.23 Aquele que oferece o sacrifício de ação de graças, me glorifica; E àquele que prepara o seu caminho, Far-lhe-ei ver a salvação de Deus. espírito reto de ter ele entrado a Bate-Seba

The God of gods -- Jehovah -- hath spoken, And He calleth to the earth From the rising of the sun unto its going in.2 From Zion, the perfection of beauty, God shone.3 Our God cometh, and is not silent, Fire before Him doth devour, And round about him it hath been very tempestuous.4 He doth call unto the heavens from above, And unto the earth, to judge His people.5 Gather ye to Me My saints, Making covenant with Me over a sacrifice.6 And the heavens declare His righteousness, For God Himself [is] judge. Selah.7 Hear, O My people, and I speak, O Israel, and I testify against thee, God, thy God [am] I.8 Not for thy sacrifices do I reprove thee, Yea, thy burnt-offerings [Are] before Me continually.9 I take not from thy house a bullock, From thy folds he goats.10 For Mine [is] every beast of the forest, The cattle on the hills of oxen.11 I have known every fowl of the mountains, And the wild beast of the field [is] with Me.12 If I am hungry I tell not to thee, For Mine [is] the world and its fulness.13 Do I eat the flesh of bulls, And drink the blood of he-goats?14 Sacrifice to God confession, And complete to the Most High thy vows.15 And call Me in a day of adversity, I deliver thee, and thou honourest Me.16 And to the wicked hath God said: What to thee -- to recount My statutes? That thou liftest up My covenant on thy mouth?17 Yea, thou hast hated instruction, And dost cast My words behind thee.18 If thou hast seen a thief, Then thou art pleased with him, And with adulterers [is] thy portion.19 Thy mouth thou hast sent forth with evil, And thy tongue joineth deceit together,20 Thou sittest, against thy brother thou speakest, Against a son of thy mother givest slander.21 These thou didst, and I kept silent, Thou hast thought that I am like thee, I reprove thee, and set in array before thine eyes.22 Understand this, I pray you, Ye who are forgetting God, Lest I tear, and there is no deliverer.23 He who is sacrificing praise honoureth Me, As to him who maketh a way, I cause him to look on the salvation of God!
