1 Cantarei a misericórdia e o juízo; a ti, Senhor, cantarei.2 Portar-me-ei com inteligência no caminho reto. Quando virás a mim? Andarei em minha casa com um coração sincero.3 Não porei coisa má diante dos meus olhos. Odeio a obra daqueles que se desviam; não se me pegará a mim.4 Um coração perverso se apartará de mim; não conhecerei o homem mau.5 Aquele que murmura do seu próximo às escondidas, eu o destruirei; aquele que tem olhar altivo e coração soberbo, não suportarei.6 Os meus olhos estarão sobre os fiéis da terra, para que se assentem comigo; o que anda num caminho reto, esse me servirá.7 O que usa de engano não ficará dentro da minha casa; o que fala mentiras não estará firme perante os meus olhos.8 Pela manhã destruirei todos os ímpios da terra, para desarraigar da cidade do Senhor todos os que praticam a iniquidade.

1 By David, a psalm. Of kindness and justice will I sing: unto thee, O Lord, will I sing praises.2 I will carefully regard the way of the perfect: oh when will thou come unto me? I will walk in the integrity of my heart in the midst of my house.3 I will not set before my eyes a godless thing; to commit a departure from righteousness do I hate; it shall not cleave to me.4 A perverse heart shall depart from me: evil will I not know.5 Whoso slandereth in secret his neighbor, him will I destroy: whoso hath proud eyes and a haughty heart, him will I not suffer.6 My eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may abide with me: he that walketh in the way of the perfect, he it is that shall serve me.7 He that practiseth deceit shall not dwell within my house: he that speaketh falsehoods shall not succeed before my eyes.8 Every morning will I destroy all the wicked of the land, cutting off from the city of the Lord all the wrong–doers.
