1 Por amor de Sião, por amor de Jerusalém, não me calarei; não deixarei de fazer oração por ela, nem de clamar a Deus a favor dela, até que resplandeça na sua justiça e se torne gloriosa na sua salvação.2 As nações verão a sua justiça. Os chefes das nações ficarão ofuscados pela sua glória. E Deus te dará um novo nome. Erguer-te-á nas suas mãos sobre toda a gente, para que todos vejam bem - serás a sua esplêndida coroa, a coroa do Rei dos reis.4 Nunca mais serás chamada a Terra de que Deus se Esqueceu. Antes o teu novo nome será a Terra da Alegria de Deus, e também a Esposa, pois que o Senhor tem todo o prazer em ti e te reclama como sua.5 Os teus filhos terão cuidado de ti, ó Jerusalém, com a mesma alegria com que um noivo se ocupa da sua jovem esposa. Deus se regozijará em ti como um noivo na mulher com quem acaba de casar.6 Ó Jerusalém, pus intercessores sobre os teus muros para que clamassem a Deus dia e noite, pelo cumprimento das suas promessas. Não descansem, os que oram a Deus; não lhe dêem descanso enquanto não tiver restabelecido Jerusalém, enquanto não tiver tornado respeitada e admirada por toda a Terra.8 O Senhor jurou a Jerusalém, com toda a integridade: Nunca mais te darei aos teus inimigos; nunca mais soldados estrangeiros virão pilhar-te o azeite e o vinho. Antes tudo aquilo que colheres guardarás, e darás graças a Deus. Dentro dos átrios do templo só tu beberás o vinho que pisaste nos teus lagares. Saiam! Saiam! Preparem a estrada pela qual regressará o meu povo! Construam-na onde for preciso, limpem-na de pedregulhos, arvorem a bandeira de Israel.11 Vejam: o Senhor enviou os seus mensageiros a cada terra com este recado: Digam ao meu povo que eu, o Senhor vosso Deus, estou a chegar para vos salvar e para vos encher de bênçãos. Serão chamados o Povo Santo, e os Remidos do Senhor; Jerusalém será apelidada Terra Desejada, e a Cidade que Deus Abençoou.

1 For Zion's sake I will not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, until its righteousness shall go forth as brightness, and its salvation as a lamp that burneth.2 And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the LORD shall name.3 Thou shalt also be a crown of glory in the hand of the LORD, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God.4 Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall thy land any more be termed Desolate: but thou shalt be called Hephzi-bah, and thy land Beulah: for the LORD delighteth in thee, and thy land shall be married.5 For as a young man marrieth a virgin, so shall thy sons marry thee: and as the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride, so will thy God rejoice over thee.6 I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that make mention of the LORD, keep not silence,7 And give him no rest, till he shall establish, and till he shall make Jerusalem a praise in the earth.8 The LORD hath sworn by his right hand, and by the arm of his strength, Surely I will no more give thy corn to be food for thy enemies; and the sons of the stranger shall not drink thy wine, for which thou hast labored:9 But they that have gathered it shall eat it, and praise the LORD; and they that have collected it shall drink it in the courts of my holiness.10 Go through, go through the gates; prepare ye the way of the people; cast up, cast up the highway; gather out the stones; lift up a standard for the people.11 Behold, the LORD hath proclaimed to the end of the world, Say ye to the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy salvation cometh; Behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him.12 And they shall call them, The holy people, The redeemed of the LORD: and thou shalt be called, Sought out, A city not forsaken.
