1 Ho! every one that thirsteth! Come ye to the waters, Yea he that hath no money,Come yebuy corn, and eat, Yea comebuy corn without money, And without price, wine and milk,2 Wherefore should ye spend, Money, for that which is not bread? Or your labour, for that which, satisfieth not? Keep on hearkening unto me, And, so eat that which is good, And let your soul take exquisite delight in fatness:3 Incline your ear, and come unto me, Hearken, That your soul, may live,That I may solemnise for you a covenant age-abiding, The Lovingkindness to David, well-assured.4 Lo! As a witness to the peoples, have I given him,As a leader and commander to the peoples:5 Lo! A nation thou shalt not know, shalt thou call, And, a nation which hath not known thee, unto thee, shall run,For the sake of Yahweh thy God, And for the Holy One of Israel, because he hath adorned thee.6 Seek Yahweh while he may be found,Call ye upon him while he is near:7 Let the lawless forsake his way, And the man of iniquity, his thoughts,And let him return unto Yahweh That he may have compassion upon him, And unto our God, For he will abundantly pardon.8 For, my thoughts, are not, your thoughts, Nor, your ways, my ways,Declareth Yahweh.9 For, higher, are the heavens than the earth,So, higher, are My ways than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.10 For, as the rain and the snow descend from the heavens. And thither, do not return, Except they have watered the earth. And caused it to bring forth and bud,And given seed to the sower, and bread to the eater,11 So, shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth, It shall not return unto me void,But shall accomplish that which I please, And shall prosper in that whereunto I have sent it.12 For with gladness shall ye come forth, And in peace, shall ye be led,the mountains and the hills shall break out, before you, into shouts of triumph, And all the wild trees shall clap their hands:13 Instead of the thorn-bush, shall come up the fir-tree, And instead of the nettle, shall come up the myrtle-tree,So shall it become unto Yahweh, a Name, A Sign age-abiding, which shall not be cut off.

1 Ó vós todos os que tendes sede, vinde às águas, e vós que não tendes dinheiro, vinde, comprai e comei; sim, vinde e comprai, sem dinheiro e sem preço, vinho e leite. 2 Por que gastais o dinheiro naquilo que não é pão? E o produto do vosso trabalho naquilo que não pode satisfazer? Ouvi-me atentamente e comei o que é bom, e a vossa alma se deleite com a gordura. 3 Inclinai os ouvidos e vinde a mim; ouvi, e a vossa alma viverá; porque convosco farei um concerto perpétuo, dando-vos as firmes beneficências de Davi. 4 Eis que eu o dei como testemunha aos povos, como príncipe e governador dos povos. 5 Eis que chamarás a uma nação que não conheces, e uma nação que nunca te conheceu correrá para ti, por amor do Senhor, teu Deus, e do Santo de Israel; porque ele te glorificou.

6 Buscai ao Senhor enquanto se pode achar, invocai-o enquanto está perto. 7 Deixe o ímpio o seu caminho, e o homem maligno, os seus pensamentos e se converta ao Senhor, que se compadecerá dele; torne para o nosso Deus, porque grandioso é em perdoar. 8 Porque os meus pensamentos não são os vossos pensamentos, nem os vossos caminhos, os meus caminhos, diz o Senhor. 9 Porque, assim como os céus são mais altos do que a terra, assim são os meus caminhos mais altos do que os vossos caminhos, e os meus pensamentos, mais altos do que os vossos pensamentos. 10 Porque, assim como descem a chuva e a neve dos céus e para lá não tornam, mas regam a terra e a fazem produzir, e brotar, e dar semente ao semeador, e pão ao que come, 11 assim será a palavra que sair da minha boca; ela não voltará para mim vazia; antes, fará o que me apraz e prosperará naquilo para que a enviei. 12 Porque, com alegria, saireis e, em paz, sereis guiados; os montes e os outeiros exclamarão de prazer perante a vossa face, e todas as árvores do campo baterão palmas. 13 Em lugar do espinheiro, crescerá a faia, e, em lugar da sarça, crescerá a murta; isso será para o Senhor por nome, por sinal eterno, que nunca se apagará.
