1 I have let myself be consulted by them who had not asked, I have suffered myself to be found by them who had not sought me,I have said, Here I am! Here I am! Unto a nation that had not been called by my name,2 I have spread out my hands all the day, Unto a rebellious people,Who walk In the way that is not good, After their own devices.3 The people who are provoking me to anger to my face continually,Sacrificing in gardens, and Burning incense upon bricks;4 Who tarry among groves, And in the secret places, do lodge, Who eat the flesh of swine, And the broth of refuse things is in their vessels,5 Who sayDraw near by thyself, Do not approach with me, For I am holier than thou! These, are A smoke in my nostrils, A fire, burning all the day.6 Lo! it is written before me,I will not keep silence, But I have recompensed, and will recompense into their bosom:7 Your own iniquities, And the, iniquities of your fathers together, Saith Yahweh, Who have burned incense upon the mountains, And upon the hills, have reproached me,Therefore will I measure their former work into their bosom.8 Thus, saith YahwehAs, new wine, is found, in the cluster, And one saith, Do not destroy it, for a blessing is in it, So, will I do for the sake of ray servants, That I may not destroy the whole ;9 Therefore will I bring forth Out of Jacob, a seed, and Out of Judah, an inheritor of my mountains, That my chosen ones may inherit it, And, my servants, dwell there;10 Then shall, Sharon, become, a fold for flocks, And the vale of Achor for the lying down of herds,For my people who have sought me.11 But, ye are theyWho forsake Yahweh Who forget my holy mountainWho prepare, for Fortune, a table and Who fill for Destiny, mixed wine;12 Therefore will I destine you to the sword, And, ye all, to the slaughter, shall bow down. Because I called and ye answered not, I spake, and ye hearkened not,But did that which was wicked in mine eyes, And o that wherein I delighted not, ye made choice,13 Therefore, Thus, saith My Lord, Yahweh,Lo! my servants, shall eat but, ye, shall be famished, Lo! my servants, shall drink but, ye shall be thirsty,Lo! my servants, shall rejoice but ye, shall turn pale;14 Lo! my servants, shall shout in triumph for mirth of heart But, ye, shall make outcry, for pain of heart, And for a breaking of spirit, shall ye howl.15 So shall ye leave your name for an oath, to my chosen ones,So then My Lord Yahweh, will slay thee,And his servants, will he, call by another name:16 So that he who blesseth himself in the earth, Will bless himself in the God of faithfulness, And he who sweareth in the earth Will swear by the God of faithfulnessBecause the former troubles have been forgotten, and Because they are hid from mine eyes.17 For, behold me! Creating new heavens, and a new earth,And the former shall not be mentioned, neither shall they come up on the heart,18 But joy ye and exult, perpetually, in what I am about to create,For, behold me! Creating Jerusalem an exultation and Her People a joy;19 Therefore will I Exult in Jerusalem, and Joy in my People,And there shall be heard in her, no more The sound of weeping, or the sound of a cry:20 There shall be thenceforward, no more, A suckling of a few days, or an elder Who filleth not up his days,But, a youth a hundred years old, may die, Yea a sinner a hundred years old, shall he accursed,21 Then shall they build houses and dwell in them,And plant vineyards and eat the fruit of them;22 They shall not build, and another, dwell, They shall not plant, and, another, eat,For as the days of a tree, shall be the days of ray people, And, the work of their own hands, shall my chosen ones, use to the full:23 They shall not labour in vain, Nor have children for terror,For the seed of the blessed ones of Yahweh, shall they be, And their offspring, with them.24 And it shall come to passThat before they call, I, will answer, And while yet they are speaking, I, will hear.25 The wolf and the lamb, shall feed, in unity, And, the lion, as an ox, shall eat straw; But as for the serpent, dust, shall be his food: They shall not harmNor shall they destroy, In all my holy mountain, saith Yahweh.

1 Fui buscado pelos que não perguntavam por mim; fui achado por aqueles que me não buscavam; a um povo que se não chamava do meu nome eu disse: Eis-me aqui. 2 Estendi as mãos todo o dia a um povo rebelde, que caminha por caminho que não é bom, após os seus pensamentos; 3 povo que me irrita diante da minha face de contínuo, sacrificando em jardins e queimando incenso sobre tijolos; 4 assentando-se junto às sepulturas, e passando as noites junto aos lugares secretos, e comendo carne de porco e caldo de coisas abomináveis nos seus pratos. 5 E dizem: Retira-te, e não te chegues a mim, porque sou mais santo do que tu. Estes são uma fumaça no meu nariz, um fogo que arde todo o dia. 6 Eis que está escrito diante de mim: não me calarei; mas eu pagarei, sim, deitar-lhes-ei a recompensa no seu seio, 7 as vossas iniquidades e juntamente as iniquidades de vossos pais, diz o Senhor, que queimaram incenso nos montes e me afrontaram nos outeiros; pelo que lhes tornarei a medir as suas obras antigas no seu seio.

8 Assim diz o Senhor: Como quando se acha mosto em um cacho de uvas, dizem: Não o desperdices, pois há bênção nele, assim farei por amor de meus servos, para que os não destrua a todos. 9 E produzirei descendência a Jacó e a Judá, um herdeiro que possua os meus montes; e os meus eleitos herdarão a terra, e os meus servos habitarão ali. 10 E Sarom servirá de curral de ovelhas, e o vale de Acor, de lugar de repouso de gado, para o meu povo que me buscar. 11 Mas a vós que vos apartais do Senhor, que vos esqueceis do meu santo monte, que preparais uma mesa para a Fortuna e que misturais vinho para o Destino, 12 também vos destinarei à espada, e todos vos encurvareis à matança, porquanto chamei, e não respondestes; falei, e não ouvistes, mas fizestes o que é mal aos meus olhos e escolhestes aquilo em que eu não tinha prazer.

13 Pelo que assim diz o Senhor Jeová: Eis que os meus servos comerão, mas vós padecereis fome; eis que os meus servos beberão, mas vós tereis sede; eis que os meus servos se alegrarão, mas vós vos envergonhareis; 14 eis que os meus servos cantarão por terem o seu coração alegre, mas vós gritareis com tristeza de ânimo e uivareis pelo vosso quebrantamento de espírito; 15 e deixareis o vosso nome aos meus eleitos por maldição; e o Senhor Jeová vos matará; e a seus servos chamará por outro nome. 16 De sorte que aquele que se bendisser na terra será bendito no Deus da verdade; e aquele que jurar na terra jurará pelo Deus da verdade; porque já estão esquecidas as angústias passadas e estão encobertas diante dos meus olhos.

17 Porque eis que eu crio céus novos e nova terra; e não haverá lembrança das coisas passadas, nem mais se recordarão. 18 Mas vós folgareis e exultareis perpetuamente no que eu crio; porque eis que crio para Jerusalém alegria e para o seu povo, gozo. 19 E folgarei em Jerusalém e exultarei no meu povo; e nunca mais se ouvirá nela voz de choro nem voz de clamor. 20 Não haverá mais nela criança de poucos dias, nem velho que não cumpra os seus dias; porque o jovem morrerá de cem anos, mas o pecador de cem anos será amaldiçoado. 21 E edificarão casas e as habitarão; plantarão vinhas e comerão o seu fruto. 22 Não edificarão para que outros habitem, não plantarão para que outros comam, porque os dias do meu povo serão como os dias da árvore, e os meus eleitos gozarão das obras das suas mãos até à velhice. 23 Não trabalharão debalde, nem terão filhos para a perturbação, porque são a semente dos benditos do Senhor, e os seus descendentes, com eles. 24 E será que, antes que clamem, eu responderei; estando eles ainda falando, eu os ouvirei. 25 O lobo e o cordeiro se apascentarão juntos, e o leão comerá palha como o boi; e o pó será a comida da serpente. Não farão mal nem dano algum em todo o meu santo monte, diz o Senhor.
