1 Thus, saith Yahweh, to his Anointed, to CyrusWhose right hand I have firmly grasped To subdue before him, nations, And the loins of kings, will I ungird,To open, before him, the two-leaved doors, And, the gates, shall not be shut:2 I, before thee, will go, And the hills, will I levelThe doors of bronze, will I break in pieces, e And the bars of iron, will I cut asunder;3 Then will I give thee The treasures of darkness, Even the hoards of hidden places,That thou mayest get to know That IYahweh, who am calling thee by thy name, am the God of Israel.4 For the sake of my servant Jacob, Even Israel my chosen Therefore have I called unto thee by thy name, I give thee a title though thou hast not known me,5 I, am Yahweh, and there is none else, Besides me, there is no God,I gird thee, though thou hast not known me:6 That men may get to know. From the rising of the sun And from the west. That there is none besides me,I, am Yahweh, and there is none else:7 Forming light and creating darkness, Making prosperity, and creating misfortune,IYahweh, who doeth all these.8 Let the drops fall ye heavens, from above, Yea, let, the skies, pour down righteousness,Let the earth open and let them bear as their fruitdeliverance And let, justice, spring forth therewith, IYahweh, have created it.9 Alas for him who contendeth with his Fashioner,A potsherd, with the potsherds of the ground! Shall it be said by the clay, unto him that is fashioning it, What wouldst thou make? Or, thy work say, of thee, He hath no hands?10 Alas, for one who saith to a father, What begettest thou? Or to a woman What dost thou bring forth?11 Thus, saith, Yahweh, The Holy One of Israel And his Fashioner, As to things to come, they have asked me, Concerning my sons and concerning the work of my hands, they would command me!12 I, made the earth, And man upon it, I created,Imine own hands, stretched out the heavens, And all their host, I commanded:13 I, have roused him up in righteousness, And all his roads, will I level,He, shall build my city, And my captives, shall he let go, Not for price, nor for bribe, Saith Yahweh of hosts.14 Thus, saith YahwehThe produce of Egypt and the gain of Ethiopia, and the Sabeans, men of great stature, Unto thee, shall come over, And thine, shall they become, After thee, shall they journey, In chains, shall they come over,And unto thee, shall they bow down Unto thee, shall they pray ,Surely, in thee, is a GOD And there is none elseno, God!15 Surely, thou, art a GOD utterly hiding thyself,O God of Israel, able to save!16 They have turned pale and even been put to shame, all of them,Together have they gone into disgrace, have the makers of images:17 Israel, hath been delivered by Yahweh, with an age-abiding deliverance,Ye shall neither turn pale nor he put to shame, unto the ages of futurity,.18 For, Thus, saith Yahweh, Who created the heavens God himself! Who fashioned the earthAnd made it Himself, established it, Not a waste, created he it To be dwelt in, he fashioned it, I, am Yahweh, and there is none else:19 Not in secret, have I spoken In a place of the earth that is dark,I have not said unto the seed of Jacob, In a waste, seek ye me,I, am Yahweh, Speaking the thing that is right, Declaring the things that are just.20 Assemble yourselves and come Draw near together, ye escaped of the nations,They know not Who carry the wood of their carved image, And pray unto a GOD who cannot save.21 Tell yeand bring near, Yea let them take counsel, together,Who let this be known aforetime. In time past, declared it? Was it not, IYahweh? And there is none else that is God besides me, A GOD, righteous and ready to save, There is none, besides me!22 Turn unto meand be ye saved, all ye ends of the earth,For, I, am GOD, and there is none else.23 By myself, have I sworn, Gone forth out of my mouth, is righteousness as a decree And shall not turn back,That, unto myself, Shall bow every knee, Shall swear every tongue:24 Only in Yahwehfor me, Hath one said, Is there righteousness and strength, Unto him, shall come and turn paleAll who have been incensed against him:25 In Yahweh, shall be justified and shall boast themselvesAll the seed of Israel.

1 Assim diz o Senhor ao seu ungido, a Ciro, a quem tomo pela sua mão direita, para abater as nações diante de sua face; eu soltarei os lombos dos reis, para abrir diante dele as portas, e as portas não se fecharão. 2 Eu irei adiante de ti, e endireitarei os caminhos tortos; quebrarei as portas de bronze e despedaçarei os ferrolhos de ferro. 3 E te darei os tesouros das escuridades e as riquezas encobertas, para que possas saber que eu sou o Senhor, o Deus de Israel, que te chama pelo teu nome. 4 Por amor de meu servo Jacó e de Israel, meu eleito, eu a ti te chamarei pelo teu nome; pus-te o teu sobrenome, ainda que não me conhecesses. 5 Eu sou o Senhor, e não há outro; fora de mim, não há deus; eu te cingirei, ainda que tu me não conheças. 6 Para que se saiba desde o nascente do sol e desde o poente que fora de mim não há outro; eu sou o Senhor, e não há outro. 7 Eu formo a luz e crio as trevas; eu faço a paz e crio o mal; eu, o Senhor, faço todas essas coisas.

8 Destilai vós, céus, dessas alturas, e as nuvens chovam justiça; abra-se a terra, e produza-se salvação, e a justiça frutifique juntamente; eu, o Senhor, as criei.

9 Ai daquele que contende com o seu Criador, caco entre outros cacos de barro! Porventura, dirá o barro ao que o formou: Que fazes? Ou a tua obra: Não tens mãos? 10 Ai daquele que diz ao pai: Que é o que geras? E à mulher: Que dás tu à luz?

11 Assim diz o Senhor, o Santo de Israel, aquele que o formou: Perguntai-me as coisas futuras; demandai-me acerca de meus filhos e acerca da obra das minhas mãos. 12 Eu fiz a terra e criei nela o homem; eu o fiz; as minhas mãos estenderam os céus e a todos os seus exércitos dei as minhas ordens. 13 Eu o despertei em justiça e todos os seus caminhos endireitarei; ele edificará a minha cidade e soltará os meus cativos não por preço nem por presentes, diz o Senhor dos Exércitos. 14 Assim diz o Senhor: O trabalho do Egito, e o comércio dos etíopes, e os sabeus, homens de alta estatura, se passarão para ti e serão teus; irão atrás de ti, virão em grilhões e diante de ti se prostrarão; far-te-ão as suas súplicas, dizendo: Deveras Deus está em ti, e nenhum outro deus há mais.

15 Verdadeiramente, tu és o Deus que te ocultas, o Deus de Israel, o Salvador. 16 Envergonhar-se-ão e também se confundirão todos; cairão juntamente na afronta os que fabricam imagens. 17 Mas Israel é salvo pelo Senhor, com uma eterna salvação; pelo que não sereis envergonhados, nem confundidos em todas as eternidades. 18 Porque assim diz o Senhor que tem criado os céus, o Deus que formou a terra e a fez; ele a estabeleceu, não a criou vazia, mas a formou para que fosse habitada: Eu sou o Senhor, e não há outro.

19 Não falei em segredo, nem em lugar algum escuro da terra; não disse à descendência de Jacó: Buscai-me em vão; eu sou o Senhor, que falo a justiça e anuncio coisas retas. 20 Congregai-vos e vinde; chegai-vos juntos, vós que escapastes das nações; nada sabem os que conduzem em procissão as suas imagens de escultura, feitas de madeira, e rogam a um deus que não pode salvar. 21 Anunciai, e chegai-vos, e tomai conselho todos juntos; quem fez ouvir isso desde a antiguidade? Quem, desde então, o anunciou? Porventura, não sou eu, o Senhor? E não há outro Deus senão eu; Deus justo e Salvador, não há fora de mim. 22 Olhai para mim e sereis salvos, vós, todos os termos da terra; porque eu sou Deus, e não há outro. 23 Por mim mesmo tenho jurado; saiu da minha boca a palavra de justiça e não tornará atrás: que diante de mim se dobrará todo joelho, e por mim jurará toda língua. 24 De mim se dirá: Deveras no Senhor há justiça e força; até ele virão, mas serão envergonhados todos os que se irritarem contra ele. 25 Mas no Senhor será justificada e se gloriará toda a descendência de Israel.
