1 Wilderness and parched land, shall be glad for them,And the waste plain, shall exult, and blossom as the lily:2 It shall, blossom abundantly, and exult, Yea with exultation and shouts of triumph, The glory of Lebanon, hath been given to it, The splendour of Carmel, and Sharon,They, shall see the glory of Yahweh, the splendour of our God.3 Strengthen ye the weak hands,The trembling knees, make ye firm:4 Say to the hurried in heart, Be strong, Do not fear,Lo! your God, with avenging, doth come, With the recompence of God, He, doth come to save you.5 Then, shall be opened the eyes of the blind,And, the ears of the deaf, be unstopped:6 Then, shall leap as a hart the lame, Then shall shout the tongue of the dumb, For, there have broken forthIn the desertwaters, And streams, in the waste plain:7 Then shall the glowing sand, become a lake, And thirsty groundsprings of water,In the home of the wild dogits lair, Shall he an enclosure for cane and paperreed.8 And there shall be there, a raised wayeven a high road, And the Highroad of Holiness, shall it be called, There shall not pass over it one who is unclean; But He Himself, shall be one of them travelling the road, And the perverse, shall not stray .9 There shall be, there, no lion, Nor shall ravenous beast, go up thereon, It shall not be found, there,Thus, shall travel the redeemed;10 And the ransomed of Yahweh! shall return, And shall enter Zion with shouting, With gladness age-abiding, upon their head, Joy and gladness shall overtake them, And sorrow and sighing, shall flee away.

1 O deserto e os lugares secos se alegrarão com isso; e o ermo exultará e florescerá como a rosa. 2 Abundantemente florescerá e também regurgitará de alegria e exultará; a glória do Líbano se lhe deu, bem como a excelência do Carmelo e de Sarom; eles verão a glória do Senhor, a excelência do nosso Deus. 3 Confortai as mãos fracas e fortalecei os joelhos trementes. 4 Dizei aos turbados de coração: Esforçai-vos e não temais; eis que o vosso Deus virá com vingança, com recompensa de Deus; ele virá, e vos salvará.

5 Então, os olhos dos cegos serão abertos, e os ouvidos dos surdos se abrirão. 6 Então, os coxos saltarão como cervos, e a língua dos mudos cantará, porque águas arrebentarão no deserto, e ribeiros, no ermo. 7 E a terra seca se transformará em tanques, e a terra sedenta, em mananciais de águas; e nas habitações em que jaziam os chacais haverá erva com canas e juncos.

8 E ali haverá um alto caminho, um caminho que se chamará O Caminho Santo; o imundo não passará por ele, mas será para o povo de Deus; os caminhantes, até mesmo os loucos, não errarão. 9 Ali, não haverá leão, nem animal feroz subirá a ele, nem se achará nele; mas os remidos andarão por ele. 10 E os resgatados do Senhor voltarão e virão a Sião com júbilo; e alegria eterna haverá sobre a sua cabeça; gozo e alegria alcançarão, e deles fugirá a tristeza e o gemido.
