1 the pen of a scribe who is skilled.2 Most beautiful thou art, beyond the sons of men, Graciousness hath been poured forth by thy lips, For this cause, hath God blessed thee, to times age-abiding.3 Gird thy sword upon thy thigh, O mighty one, thine honour and thy majesty;4 And, thy majesty, be successful! ride forth! on behalf of faithfulness, and humilityrighteousness, And let thine own right hand show thee wonderful things.5 Thine arrows, are sharpPeoples, under thee, fall! In the heart of the foes of the king.6 Thy throne, O God, is to times age-abiding and beyond, A sceptre of equity, is the sceptre of thy kingdom.7 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated lawlessness,For this cause, hath God, thine own God, anointed thee, With the oil of gladness, beyond thy partners.8 Myrrh and aloes, cassias, all thy garments,Out of the palaces of ivory, the tones of strings, have rejoiced thee.9 Daughters of kings, are among thine honourable women, Stationed is the bride at thy right hand, in gold of Ophir.10 Hearken, O daughter, and observe, Incline also thine ear, Forget, then, thine own people, And the house of thy father;11 When the king shall desire thy beauty, Surely, he, is thy lord, then bow down to him.12 Also, the daughter of Tyre, with a present! Thy face, shall the rich of the people appease.13 All gloriousthe daughter of a king her clothing!14 In embroidered raiment, shall she be brought unto the kingThe virgins that follow her, her companions, are to be conducted unto thee:15 They shall be brought, with rejoicings and exultation,They shall enter into the palace of the king!16 Instead of thy fathers, be thy sons, Thou shalt make them rulers in all the earth.17 I will keep in remembrance thy Name, through each succeeding generation, For this cause, peoples, shall praise thee, to times age-abiding and beyond.

1 O meu coração ferve com palavras boas; falo do que tenho feito no tocante ao rei; a minha língua é a pena de um destro escritor.

2 Tu és mais formoso do que os filhos dos homens; a graça se derramou em teus lábios; por isso, Deus te abençoou para sempre.

3 Cinge a tua espada à coxa, ó valente, com a tua glória e a tua majestade. 4 E neste teu esplendor cavalga prosperamente pela causa da verdade, da mansidão e da justiça; e a tua destra te ensinará coisas terríveis. 5 As tuas flechas são agudas no coração dos inimigos do rei, e por elas os povos caíram debaixo de ti.

6 O teu trono, ó Deus, é eterno e perpétuo; o cetro do teu reino é um cetro de equidade. 7 Tu amas a justiça e aborreces a impiedade; por isso, Deus, o teu Deus, te ungiu com óleo de alegria, mais do que a teus companheiros. 8 Todas as tuas vestes cheiram a mirra, a aloés e a cássia, desde os palácios de marfim de onde te alegram. 9 As filhas dos reis estavam entre as tuas ilustres donzelas; à tua direita estava a rainha ornada de finíssimo ouro de Ofir.

10 Ouve, filha, e olha, e inclina teus ouvidos; esquece-te do teu povo e da casa de teu pai. 11 Então, o rei se afeiçoará à tua formosura, pois ele é teu senhor; obedece-lhe. 12 E a filha de Tiro estará ali com presentes; os ricos do povo suplicarão o teu favor.

13 A filha do rei é toda ilustre no seu palácio; as suas vestes são de ouro tecido. 14 Levá-la-ão ao rei com vestes bordadas; as virgens que a acompanham a trarão a ti. 15 Com alegria e regozijo serão trazidas; elas entrarão no palácio do rei.

16 Em lugar de teus pais será a teus filhos que farás príncipes sobre toda a terra. 17 Farei lembrado o teu nome de geração em geração; pelo que os povos te louvarão eternamente.
